I hear it's a fairly common event in the Military as it's a surefire way to get sent home from a crappy posting. My brother knew (not that way) of a few women who got pregnant to get out of Bosnia when he was over there.
Are we then to asume they 'get rid' once safely back home? Otherwise it's a pretty drastic way to get out of a few months of a crap job.
From being in the Navy this was a pretty common event, girl gets shitty assignment, meets boy, hormones take over, girl gets light duty for a year and goes home. It is a captain's mast offense on a boat if you are caught bumping uglies. But they can't watch you all the time. The bad thing is the guy involved doesn't think ahead about the 18 years of child support payments they take out of his check.
