US champions' tournament in Charleston, SC?

    Any pre-season match rumors?

    Hearing a rumor here in Charleston about a tourny invoving the USOC Champion, MLS Cup Champion, A-league Champion and D-3 Champion. (Chicago, San Jose, Charleston and Wilmington) The dates I'm hearing are around end of Mar 27 or the begining of April. I know both Chicago and San Jose are invoved in the CONCACAF champions cup but not sure when the dates are for that.

    I hope its more than rumor. I think its a cool idea and would be great event of us here in Charleston and Blackbaud stadium.

    I have heard something similar awhile back and that it's at least a decent possibility.

    Well thats good news. A guy from Wilington has heard the same thing. I guess well have to wait for an official announcement

    That could be an interesting little tournament. It would provide a great oppourtunity for Wilmington and Charlston players to get a look-see. Plus it would serve as a good spring training tournament. I imagine that the MLS teams would use it as such, while the A-League and PSL teams would play a little more all out.

    I think this is an absolutely fantastic idea. I really hope it does materialize.
