As I write this, they're letting us down DEFENSIVELY. Dempsey lost Lavezzi. Wondo lost the ball and then fouled Messi (but let's face it, that was ********ing brilliance from Messi. Is that the best goal the US has ever conceded?) And of course, Wondo's touch on that play was the stuff of Zardes' nightmares.

Wondo is an excellent MLS player, but I don't think he was the right choice for this game. He's too weak for holdup play at the international level, too slow, and can't dribble. So what was Klinsmann expecting out of him....? Not really sure. He's a great poacher, but we barely had any of the ball and that should have been expected.

If anyone says that "Dempsey disappeared" on this thread... I don't know, something bad.

Dempsey was relegated to being on an island and his lack of action is JK's fault, period.

Wondo should never be near a usa jersey again.

Clint is past it too. To get 0 shots in a game is inexcusable

This was Wondo's heat map in the first 30 minutes, credit to Matt Doyle of mlssoccer.com:

Strikers? What strikers? Nobody struck a ball towards goal, so we had no strikers.

We completed four meaningful passes in the attacking third:

    1) Zardes to Yedlin (who raced to the end line) in the first half
    2) Dempsey to Yedlin, and then 3) Yedlin to Pulisic in the box in the second half (our best sequence of the game?)
    4) Cameron, to someone in the second half (chalkboard shows this in the 67th minute)

Not much to evaluate when we rarely had the ball in dangerous zones.

0 shots is the result of 0 service. His performance against the world #1 is totally excusable. And he's still our best forward.
