Maybe the mods should move this thread to the new Uruguay forum.

Now the players are looking into going on strike if the season doesen't start in February, which means a lot of games in the middle of the week, which means you could see more games, and more chances of El Clasico, and almost no chance of the Finals. International Friendlies could happen. They were in talks with Rumania. Both most friendlies would be played in Europe as that is where most of our players are

Yes I read about this in the newspaper. He's going on loan for like $120,000. That's A LOT of money for an Uruguayan team. Us(Peñarol) didn't bring in a right defender, which is a primary need, because it couldn't pay a transfer fee of $90,000 to BUY a premier player. I haven't heard anything at all about Sebastian Vazquez. Will post in the Peñarol forum to see if anyone knows anything

EDIT: In second thought, he played for our rivals, so I can see what the comments will be like, so won't post.

Looking at Wikipedia, he belongs to an Ukrainian first division team, and he played for nacioMAL and Estudiantes, which are great teams obviously. Probably a quality player

Now we need to see who the money goes to. Peñarol or his representatives. There has been a huge legal issue over this, and if his reps win it, it wouldn't be the first time they rob Peñarol like this

Looks like Cavani is going to Napoli. Napoli obviously is not a powerhouse but at least he should play there and not rot on the bench.

If this happens, which I doubt, it would help bring Zalayeta to Peñarol.

Solid player. Hopefully he works out

natural left midfielders? under coach tabarez, impossible
he calls them to pre selections and friendlies only to cut them off the final squads  (J Rodriguez,J Martínez, C Rodríguez, F Canobbio....)and make experiments with forwards (cavani) or central midfielders-side backs (a.pereira, fucile)filling that spots.
