Well done Peru! I was surprised by their defense, they are usually poor but in the second half (when Uruguay remembered they were playing football) the Peruvian defenders did a great job at blocking, pushing and anticipating the moves from Uruguay.

The second goal was a beauty...

Me sorprendio mucho la victoria de Peru, pero fueron simplemente mejor en todo el partido Props on that, pero lo que mas me sorprendio no fue lo mal que jugo Uruguay pero la falta de Huevo y garras de Uruguay, no me acuerdo ver un partido donde Uruguay simplemente ser rinda y no ponga huevos para nada.

Props to Peru on a great victory.

Congrats to Peru, I don't think a lot of ppl expected them to win, specially by 3 goals. Good job, and the best part is that this game wasn't even played in altitude, what are the uruguayans gonna blame this on now?

I certainly expected good things from Peru. I saw very good qualities in this team in the two friendlies against Ecuador. Almost reminds me of how they played in their good old days back the 70's.

Seriously though, Thanks for the good thoughts. And although this is a quality win there's still a long way to go. The day that people stop talking about the great peruvian teams of 3 decades ago, that will be the day that we know we have finally gotten back to where we belong. Obviously we still haven't, this is just one win.

Well, I'm certainly hoping for that day to come. Increased competition would do wonders in creating a spectacle for the next World Cup qualifiers.

Well Peru completely did what was unexpected. Good job on Peru shutting down Uruguay. It was a great result for Peru but lets be honest, the game was not a very good display of futbol.

Peru only had like 5 good scoring opportunities in 90 mins and Uruguay had even less. Its just that peru completed most of their chances. Congrats to peru .
