    Snip:

But neither of the two could be here training next week. You see, Lopez, 17, has already accepted an invite to forgo his senior year at Palm Desert High to join the developmental program with the acclaimed Chivas Mexican club in Guadalajara. Scouts could offer Rivera, 20, the same opportunity on Saturday.

Lopez, who starred in goal for the Aztecs last season, traveled with Serrato to Mexico on June 19 for a tryout. More than 300 teenagers showed for just a handful of spots. One-by-one, hopefuls were sent home. Lopez showed up when just 23 remained, and the sparse crowd allowed scouts to focus on the slender 6-foot-3 kid who had only been playing the game for six years.

An offer was extended to stay and train with Guadalajara’s third division team, with the chance to advance to the second division team quickly. League rules do not allow for a player under the age of 18 to receive a formal contract, so Lopez is giving up his senior year to play in Mexico without compensation.

I'm not sure if this is the right guy, but there is a '98 GK Uriel Lopez who played for Chivas last year.

The club and birth year fit, at least.

In any case, this player is listed as unregistered now and hasn't made an appearance in the 2016 Apertura.
