Notable pulls from two boxes today: Zakuani auto, LD Premium Materials, LD Quad and Castillo Quad. I've got a feeling that this is going to be a tough set to get, only 200 cases this year. There are some nice material cards on eBay already. Let me know who else is doing some breaks.

That made me a little frustrated, my collections have always been for the love of a sport. I guess people trying to make cash are what keeps this industry going though. Well I guess there will be an overpriced LD Jersey card on eBay as a result of this. I like the design of the cards this season.
I should have posted a warning...the narrator is not a soccer guy (clueless) and he mumbles a lot...but at least you get a nice peek at the cards.
no problem, I'm just worried that in a few weeks when I try to order I won't have a box available because, some dude that's heard of LD bought it. I do appreciate the peak at the cards though, do you guys keep a copy of the regular deck? or do you try to get rid of those?
We opened 14 boxes of this product, and between taking our shelf exams and trying to plan away rotations, placed our cards on ebay. It's really hard to price a new product, especially when there is a variable demand. We are definitely willing to sell off of ebay, or trade for donovan / ching / kai autographs that we don't already have. All of our jersey game-worn cards are currently up for $0.99 no reserve ending next Saturday. This includes a quad jersey Henry, LD, and 2 x Beckhams, among others. Can't speak for others but getting complete base sets is a major goal of mine. I consider the base set at least as important as any insert set.
I have each set all the way back to 1997 in sleeves and binders. I do not have all of the insert sets, and certainly not all of the jersey cards from any of the sets. For the 2011 set, I purchased 2 boxes. I ended up with two full sets, one I put into a binder and the other is for my son in FL. The inserts I put on ebay to try and cover some of the cost of what I purchased. I will probably attempt to get all of the Union inserts at some point. I know I will be purchasing some more at a later date. My son comes up for the summer soon, and we like to collect autographs at the games.

I've been a little disappointed in Upper Deck's efforts over the past few years. The sets seem to all look alike without thought for the collector. I know i could help them produce a set that would be great - but they just keep churning out the same old stuff. It has become easier to collect TOPPS Match Attax with Premier League players (with Americans) than UD MLS. I collect vintage cards (pre-war). I love the artwork and the - something definitely missing in Upper Deck products. Having said that, I need a few more cards from the 1997 MLS set to finish it. I trade soccer cards.
