Does Directv offer the same stuff Dish does. I just signed with directv cuz i heard they have the best Shootout package and nowadays im hearing different crap. What is the difference between Dish offer and Directv offer? Aren't they both the same?

I'm going to be so ***ing angry if Directv have less than what dish have because i signed up with them just to be able to watch MLS and watch the SORRY FSW....Where they show only tape delay games over and over and never once they do a preview of their live games.

Please let me know the difference!!

    hmmm...

well directv and dish have been going back and forth with regards to which is the better provider for a soccer fan...

dish had fsw first, directv had mls shootout first.

last year, directv had the better shootout package, but this year, it seems they are about equal, with the edge going to dish....based upon what was posted in the other thread on the broadcasts....

directv showed the usa/canada game on ppv, while dish did not......

i got dish because it was a bit cheaper and when i got it, it was the only carrier of fox sports world espanol (foxsports world wasn't available then)....

Just who are you going to be angry at? Yourself? And, I don't know about you, but I'm watching a LIVE EPL match on the "SORRY FSW" tomorrow morning. Too bad I won't have the time to watch the LIVE Bundesliga match that comes on right afterwards. But perhaps I can catch the LIVE match from German on Sunday or, at the very least, the LIVE EPL contest the next day.

Get over it. Even if DTV's Shootout package is marginally worse than Dish's, it's still infinitely better than what was available only a few years ago.

If you want to know the difference, go to the Dish and DTV websites and do the work yourself. If you've read these boards, it should be pretty clear by now than there are many similarities and many differences between Dish and DTV. It all depends on who you are and what your interests are.

Is the digitial cable (Comcast) MLS Shootout package similiar to the dish package?

If there are differences, what are they please?

I am interested, as I subscribed to MLS Shootout and am a Comcast Digital Cable subscriber.

    Thanks much.

    Game Schedule

Does anyone know if the Dish package will only be saturday night games, of which most are this year anyway, or will it include wednesday, friday, or sunday games which it did not include last year?

Thanks Stinky for your good work.

For what it's worth all the providers are lost with the shootout each year. It's standard operating cluelessness.

    Re: Game Schedule

I think the official press release from mlsnet.com said that dish will have all games, regardless of which night, and which affiliate (better than last year).

I think it said directv only has the fox net stations again.

I just ordered, thanks for posting that link!!!

The best bet is to have another soccer nut nearby. One of you get DISH, the other DirecTV.

I ordered this from Comcast in Seattle yesterday though it took five calls for them to figure out how I could order this.

An MLS Shootout ad was shown while I was watching BBC America last night. Nice lengthy piece with lots of highlights narrated by Dellacamera.

I just ordered the shootout on direct tv. Anyone who has ordered before - is there a guide during the season as to times and channels? Do they replay the games so that I can watch them all???
