either live or on tape delay. this is the email i recieved: Hello- Our schedules are not yet set for September 14th. _The most updated information will be posted on Thursday, September 12th. This will be the case with every Saturday going forward for the remainder of the MLS package. Each available MLS game will be carried, either live or via tape delay. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions.
This is indeed good news, especially if it includes playoff games. Now, hopefully, they will actually show up on my tv screen when they're supposed to.
Make sure your cable company gets calls and e-mails about this news. The GamePlan schedule should be set up tomorrow with the Shootout games to follow.
or tape delay? wait a second. showing a game live is comepletely different than tape delay. I'm not staying up until 2am to watch a game or tape it and watch it the next day. It's one thing for a game here or there. But it seems we're lookign at this being the case for teh rest of the season. And that's not what I bought the package for. No, woo-hoo herel; still disgruntled and jaded.
Exactly. I usually only got to see one or two games every week because I don't want to jump back and forth between channels. This is what vcr's and Tivo are for. You should support the league anyway, even if it isn't a perfect situation. In case you hadn't noticed, we aren't living in a soccer-crazy society. The time to be a spoiled customer isn't for another decade or so. (In my opinion.)
But then what would we have to bitch about? I mean, they're de facto doing the hard work for you (staggering the games)
The complaint is not occasionally taping a game but not being able to watch any games live. The only games that they'll show live are going to be in LA or SJ since they won't conflict with the football games. Those aren't necessarily the games I want to watch. And if I don't have any live games to watch, no use having the package. I may as well just have a friend tape them. No use spending money on it. Really, I fork out the $$$$ not to watch 5 games a weekend but to be able to watch one or two live and enjoy them. As for supporting soccer, no thank you. I will not simply throw my money at any product involving soccer simply to try to grow the game. If I can't get some decent (note decent, it doesn't have to be dazzling fantastic) service in return, I'm not going to buy it. And that completely leaves out the core issue of being sold a product and the product sold to me not being delivered. I'm not talking some minor changes. This is a major overhaul. If they don't fix it soon, they've lost me for a couple of seasons.
Out of five games this weekend, two are live, one is tape-delayed by the provider (KC game) and two are tape-delayed by iNDemand.
