I don't know, don't you guys feel frustrated . . . ? Newcastle, Liverpool, Arsenal coming up, yet we're missing all the best players in the team. Must be Murphy's Law. You'll miss them just when you need them the most, just like the end of last season. If we had David Beckham against Leverkusen, I am absolutely positive United would've made the final. Whether we could beat Real Madrid or not is another story. I guess my point is, taking any significant number of points from the next 3 games is no trivial task; it has never been, even with a full strengh squad. And now with our currently available team, which is less than ideal, United actually needs some luck to do it. What do you feel is the minimum result United needs to get from these next 3 fixtures in order to have any chance for the title? I feel that we need at least 2 wins and a draw, and the Arsenal game is a must win, cuz I really don't see them dropping many points throughout the rest of the season and doing a double over them is the only way to close in the gap. Once again, the odds are against United at this point of time, but may the force be with the Red Devils.
I think we're gonna have to be very lucky to win these fixtures without so many key players, especially since both Liverpool and the Arse will want to beat us more than anything else in the universe. Personally, i would like us to score way more goals, because they seem to be drying up pretty sharpish although we created good chances today we didn't take them (mainly Solskjaer naffing things up ). Liverpool look a bit rubbish at the moment though, so i wouldn't rule out beating them, the Arse will be tough though, especially with our defense in tatters (although its nice to have Brown back). The most important thing though isn't beating the top table teams, it's making sure we don't nose-dive when faced with lower table opposition. The champions league should be taking priority though imho... I see Arsenal dropping points though, and Liverpool, the bad thing is we're dropping more points than both of them put together...
I wonder how are we going to cope when we are without 5 first team-players which is a real shame, Our season has been wrecked by all these injuries, I do sincerly that we could try and beat the top sides even though it will be tough.
