I don't know how I feel about this. Guatemala has been invited to play in Jerusalem vs Israel. In November. http://lared.com.gt/guatemala-jugara-un-amistoso-en-medio-oriente/
Who wants to play in Jerusalem? Since Guatemala is so irrelevant in world football maybe it won't be so controversial. I hope
https://www.fifa.com/about-fifa/new...ittee-sanctions-palestinian-fa-president.html says: "The Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the President of the Palestinian Football Association (PFA), Jibril Rajoub, with a 12-month match suspension and a fine of CHF 20,000 for breaching article 53 (Inciting hatred and violence) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code, following media statements he gave calling on football fans to target the Argentinian Football Association and burn jerseys and pictures of Lionel Messi.'

Anthony Lozano scored a penalty kick in the 75th minute for the only goal, and apparently 41-year-old Noel Valladares un-retired.

I believe this makes Sandy Sanchez the first Caribbean goalkeeper to score in an international match since Kai McKenzie-Lyle did so (from a corner) for Guyana against Suriname in October 2016 https://t.co/Pd3kgR085r— Caribbean Football (@caribbeanfooty) February 27, 2019
Sandy Sanchez has been doing that for a while now across all CONCACAF competitions. Very solid goalie.
https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/20...nvasion-yada-yada-yada.2092350/#post-37579162 says yesterday in Los Angeles there was El Salvador 3-1 Guatemala.
Wales 1-0 Trinidad and Tobago Benjamin Woodburn, who is on loan from Liverpool to Sheffield United, scored the only goal in the 90+2nd minute. Wales had 62 percent of the possession, 71.0 percent of the set pieces (22 to 9, I combine corner kicks and free kicks), 90.5 percent of the shots (19 to 2), 85.7 percent of the shots on target (6 to 1), 66.4 percent of the attempted passes (635 to 322), 70.9 percent of the completed passes (531 to 218), and a higher pass completion percentage (83.6 to 67.7). Trinidad and Tobago had 52.4 percentage of the fouls (11 to 10), and there was 1 yellow card each. There were no red cards or penalty kicks.
Today: USA vs. Ecuador at 8:00 P.M. Tomorrow: Guatemala vs. Costa Rica at 9:00 P.M. Mexico vs. Chile at 10:15 P.M. in San Diego, California, USA Saturday: Brazil vs. Panama at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday: USA vs. Chile at 7:55 P.M. Honduras vs. Ecuador at 8:30 P.M. in Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey, USA El Salvador vs. Peru at 9:00 P.M. in RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. Mexico vs. Paraguay at 10:00 P.M. in Santa Clara, California, USA Costa Rica vs. Jamaica at 10:00 P.M.
USA 1-0 Ecuador Guatemala 1-0 Costa Rica Mexico 3-1 Chile Brazil 1-1 Panama Brazil had 78 percent of the possession and more corner kicks, 12 to 1. Brazil had 12 shots miss the goal, and had more shots on goal, 4 to 2. Lucas Paqueta gave Brazil the lead in the 32nd minute. He's 21, and it was his fourth cap. Adolfo Machado, whose last domestic league goal was for Saprissa in 2014-2015, equalized in the 36th minutes, so Panama hardly trailed. After two years with the Houston Dynamo, Machado now plays for The Strongest in Bolivia, and his first goal for them was on February 13 in a 5-1 loss in the Copa Libertadores.
USA 1-1 Chile Peru 0-2 El Salvador (with Peru 20th in the FIFA Rankings and El Salvador 73rd, it was great for El Salvador) Honduras 0-0 Ecuador Nicaragua 0-1 Guatemala Mexico 4-2 Paraguay (while it was 3-1, Paraguay's Miguel Almiron, who went from Atlanta to Newcastle United, got a straight red) Costa Rica 1-0 Jamaica The Gold Cup starts on June 15. Here are friendlies before then: May 28: Venezuela vs. Trinidad and Tobago* June 4: Mexico vs. Venezuela (in Atlanta, Georgia, USA) June 8: Mexico vs. Ecuador (in Arlington, Texas, USA) Venezuela vs. USA* * I'm expecting these games not to be in Venezuela, but Soccerway doesn't give the sites. Venezuela vs. USA is not on U.S. Soccer's schedule. Soccerway lists Costa Rica vs. Uruguay on September 5, but teams have one or two Nations League games that month, so it may not be possible. League A has groups off 3 with one team having off each matchday. I would expect there to be more friendlies than what Soccerway lists.
Here are 2 results and 14 upcoming games. May 28: Venezuela vs. Trinidad and Tobago was canceled due to the "political crisis" in Venezuela June 2 (I didn't list it in the schedule above): El Salvador 1-0 Haiti (at RFK Stadium in Washington, D.C., USA) June 3 (I didn't list it in the schedule above): Colombia 3-0 Panama Wednesday June 5: Japan vs. Trinidad and Tobago (6:30 A.M.) USA vs. Jamaica (7:00 P.M. Paraguay vs. Honduras (7:00 P.M.) Mexico vs. Venezuela (in Atlanta, Georgia, USA at 8:30 P.M., my previous date of June 4 was wrong) Peru vs. Costa Rica (9:00 P.M.) Thursday June 6: Chile vs. Haiti (7:00 P.M.) Bermuda vs. Guyana (7:00 P.M.) Friday June 7: Uruguay vs. Panama (7:00 P.M.) Argentina vs. Nicaragua (8:00 P.M. and I don't why Argentina is playing an opponent so much worse than them) Sunday June 9: Japan vs. El Salvador (6:00 A.M.) USA vs. Venezuela (2:00 P.M.) Brazil vs. Honduras (3:00 P.M.) Paraguay vs. Guatemala (5:00 P.M.) Mexico vs. Ecuador (in Arlington, Texas, USA at 7:00 P.M.)
With the way they have been playing the last 6 months or so they need every confidence boost they can get. We also usually see it from Brazil before major tournaments They usually schedule friendlies against opponents they know they can beat (or are expected to beat) in a dominant fashion for positive team morale heading into the Cup. I guess it is kinda like how American college football teams try to schedule a crappy school for homecoming or before a big rivalry game. (I know it is not the perfect analogy but it works for now.)
Here first results of today' s matches : Japan 0-0 Trinidad & Tobago India 1-3 Curaçao . (King's Cup 2019. Curaçao plays the final vs Vietnam next Jun 8)
Uruguay 3-0 Panama Argentina 5-1 Nicaragua Messi scored the first 2 goals. Juan Barrera scored a penalty kick in the 90+1st minute after Argentina's last goal.
