http://boards.wusa.com/messageview.cfm?catid=13&threadid=18720 Hall and Schillig. I don't believe they'll get claimed by anyone. Still looking for the names of those protected!!
For lack of a better thread to put this and feeling it's not needing it's own, I give to you...a Comcast Sportsnet exclusive? I haven't seen it anywhere else, so we'll give them credit. "The Philadelphia Charge invited eight players to training camp Friday. Among the invited players is La Salle University product and Langhorne, PA native Tracy Spinelli, who was with the team this offseason as a tryout player when the Charge took on the Boston Breakers in the Hall of Fame Game. Others who were invited to camp were Trina Maso de Moya, Bekah Splaine, Karen Flowers, Abby Gillard and Beth McNamara. Defender Karyn Hall and South Jersey native goalkeeper Janel Schillig were also invited to camp. Hall and Schillig were with the Charge last year as reserves and invited back for 2003." Rest of the story
Oops. I didn't see Paul posted them in the Protected List thread. My bad. Well, after some Googleing, here's a bit on some of the players invited to camp: Beth McNamara, a midfielder from James Madison University. Abby Gillard, played at Dartmouth College and is now an assistant coach at Drake. Bekah Splaine, as best as I can tell, played at Brown University, earning spots on a number of all-star teams. Trina Maso de Moya, a 6 ft. forward from Florida Athletic University.
Should be Florida Atlantic University. Looks like she played only one season of soccer in college (transfering from Wake where she played volleyball for four years) 19 goals is pretty impressive, but a look at the competion in the Atlantic Sun Conference is in order.
I believe that was pre-season camp. Alfiler, I'd expect to be fighting for one of the last roster slots. Demko, seems victim to the numbers game in midfield.
