I'm still waiting for someone to post a genuinely unpopular opinion. You know, something like ... say ... DOWN WITH GRIMES! (HAIL GRIMES!!!)
This is neither a popular nor unpopular opinion, since it's not an opinion. For the record, I've never seen an episode of Seinfeld or Friends. But I've seen every episode of Cheers.
I went to school with y'all from third grade thru HS, in environments that were closer to 50/50 than 80/20. You learn a lot about people when there are enough of you and enough achievers among you that you have a presence in everything. You have one experience as the only Black kid in, say, Key Club, and another when a third of the membership is Black. A lot of the White folks who went to school with me would have much to say about Black people for the same reason. I can say that the overwhelming majority of it was very cool. What many of those students have become since is a lot less so...
Food opinions: 1) I like both rice and grits with both butter and sugar. That's when they're for breakfast. I eat them the same way everybody else does when it's not breakfast. 2) I eat vanilla ice cream with saltine crackers. I will also eat it with granola cereal, but generally not with cookies. If you give me ice cream and cookies I'll eat one and then the other. 3) I think milk chocolate of the type you find in commercial candy bars is tastier than the expensive dark chocolate that tastes like coffee or something bitter. I'm sure that's an unpopular opinion among American soccer fans, but there you go. 4) Cap'n Crunch is still the greatest breakfast cereal God ever created.
And that's only because Ryan Reynolds is incredibly sexy. Otherwise superhero movies are a waste of time.
