im am posting this thread to emphasize the fact that clubs in cities or near cities should consider the fact of spending the extra bucks in their accounts on periodi road trips to MLS games! Its a great club activity and will look well with your Associated student organizations and student government bodies because you advertise your school as well. This should be done even at the high school and elementary level. Private clubs and local teams should also regularly attend! I cannot emphasize how important this is to MLS...get out there and do it via your clubs if you belong to any. That is what i will be doing with the Montana Tech Soccer Club aka the orediggers... follow our example and see you at the tailgates in UTah. jk for the mormons. We wont drink, but we will make noise. Tell me what you think about this..and how we could coordinate something...just another idea from a soccer addict that cant wait to seee Pro us soccer
Great idea. I am currently working with Sam's Army to get them to help out the Loyalists. I am hoping that organized efforts will help everyone. But I also agree that student groups and youth soccer orgs can add a lot to the attendance at games.
We can all tailgate together the Utah way. I'm not sure yet what that means, but maybe some of the veteran RAF tailgaters will shed some light on the subject. I applaud your support and efforts from Montana! We'll make you honorary Loyalists for a day when you come out for the opening game. But only if you stand and scream in the Loyalists section!
will you guys have flares and stuff like that? or do you know where to buy flares... lol im excited bout these flares
POSITIVELY no flares! On the field there at signs that say: 'no smoking, violators will be removed and pay a big fine'. I believe one reason is that the field is combustable. The Utah Indoor Clean Air Act outlaws smoking in indoor public places and work areas and also outlaws smoking at outdoor stadiums. Flares are classified as hazardus materials and may not be taken into public sites. The are dangerous to use and can cause injury to lungs, eyes and any nearby body part along with igniting about anything that will burn, like somebody's hat or hair. Ever hat a polyester or other syntetic replica jersey melted to your skin by a flare? The flare pictures get published but do the arrests pictures get the same publicity?
Don't worry, Foreigner. We have to move slowly. We have to Push The Envelope a little at a time. First, banners. Then confetti. Then drums. Then flares. Then we burn down downtown Denver.
Ahhh..... you are truly one of us. You understand... But I would reccomend a new ordert.... First supporters, then drums, then banners, then confetti, then flares, and finally the sacking of downtown Denver.
