The sad thing is that Mike knows that Kix is a local icon, but he couldn't name a song from them if his life depended on it Me, Randy and Martin on the other hand, we could probably play Kix Jeopardy - I've seen them over a 100 times myself - The Bayou and Hammerjacks - I used to pick my mail up at Hammerjacks - my buddy Steve was a bartender there and our move was to have him chuck me a can of beer from about 50 feet away. I'd catch it and the broads would be impressed (until I talked to them of course ) Those were the days. The best concerts I've ever seen were at The Bayou (Gary Moore, Cheap Trick, any Kix concert) and Hammerjacks (Kix of course and The Ramones)
I have not seen Kix 100 times, only about a dozen or so, a few more if you throw in Funny Money Most at either Hammerjacks or Jaxx (and you know I never quite noticed or thought about the "jax" at the end of both clubs until I wrote them like that). The only good thing about moving the team to Baltimore would be it has better music than DC btw, good show.
