Just read this while going thru my regular sites for my DCU fix. If you are a glass is half full person this is one great piece of writing. Talks about the differences between our number 10's and what to look forward to. If Chris is right, it could be one helluva ride.
Definitely makes me feel better about losing Gomez. Really brings the differences to light. Still wish we could have kept Gomito and pushed him up front with Emilio. However, if Neill works out than we have done the same and at a much lower cost to the cap. Time will tell, but I am getting pretty pumped thanks to the guys at United Mania.

Great, this was Mike Martin being so positive ......... I'm not sure how to feel about that, I rely on Mike to be a glass-half-empty kind of guy to help balance my over-enthusiasm.
I guess either we go undefeated, or are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs by mid-season :D

FB, I would like to point out I have been ridiculously optimistic before! Cast your eyes at this golden oldie, be sure to check out the date!

Considering how that one worked out, I'm sure you're feeling all warm and fuzzy now!

Oh, and Zagloba, I don't mean tingly like Costanza getting a massage! I mean tingly like when you see Jaime bursting through the penalty area with defenders dropping like sacks of dirt in his wake kind of tingly.

    Thanks for the comments.

Yeah, I'm gettin' excited, too. Great point, Mike, contrasting the style of Marco vs Christian. If Gallardo lives up to the expectations you're setting, this has the potential to be an absolutely amazing run for United.

I'm excited and glad that DC has been busy shoring up some of our weaknesses but there is still a glaring weakness for us and that's wing play. Other than Fred and Olsen, who have shown that they can't be counted on to be healthy a full season, we don't have any marginally impactful players on the wing.

Good article. I do believe that we need a negatvity thread though. I mean after becoming a father people like Sachin have even become positive. :D

I thought our big problem was leadership and intangibles, not willing ourselves to close out games and win victories in finals the last two years. If it isn't and Gallardo is as good as UnitedMania thinks, this season will be quite fun.
