I think we just ment it's silly for 30 groups of 1-2 guys to make area banners (I actually gave myself and Gaithersburg as example). Baltimore has a sizeable group so it sounds great (I was going to make a maryland one eventually, black letters on red/white checkerboard since I can take it to Croatian games that way so I guess I need it before trip to Iceland for world cup qualifier) Like Vlad I come from place where this is common (not just by county, street and town, but subgroups of main group), it's just encouraged to have actual group standing (not literally ) behind that banner or else we would have 2000 of them hehe
I think that whole regional flag ettiquite varies from nation to nation, Srdan. At Euro 2004, you'd see huge English flags with just one or two people's name on it. Besides, more flags on the fence=better looking stadium.
We almost always have one cold sober person with us going back to Baltimore (unless of course I drive by myself and after the DC/NE tropical storm Charley match I won't be doing again ) So the more the merrier, less people have to act as desgnated drivers more folks in one car=less parking fees, and of course if we could get a pre tailgate tailgate going somewhere up here and convoy all the way down.........woooo!!!
I think its great that the Little Loopers (Baltimore) folks are getting organized, hopefully it can help DCU's presence in its market. It'd be cool to see the outter VA burbs get something going. Although I will say that if the inside the Beltway VA burbs get something going, I'd be down with that!
Good point, but bulk of people that were able to afford tickets to England games in Portugal were regular fans not firms (huge interest, limited tickets=high price). That's why 12K Croatians were louder than 40K English whole game... except for that muppety Engerland chant
