Do you reackon Haifa have a realistic chance of winning tonight? Our line-up is G: Ricardo Lopez; D: G.Neville, P,Neville, Ferdinand, O'Shea, Silvestre; M: Scholes, Fortune, Richardson; F: Forlan, Solskjaer. We may have 5 defenders on the pitch but according to the formation one of them will be playing in midfield. I still think this United side can beat Haifa nicely by a few goals. :)

They probably could beat Haifa. But at half time, they are losing 1-0, despite having most of the possession in the half. (sound familiar?)

2-0 to Haifa. O'Shea was injured in the first half, but is still playing. He was beaten for the second goal.

O'Shea heads down to Ferdinand who scores.... but the goal is disallowed. Maybe the ref doesn't like our new kits?

You lot playing the third string or what?

(although I'm glad to see that Haifa still has a shot in the Group).

You could say that. We have Ricardo in goal. Nardiello up front. P. Neville in mid. Fortune left mid.
Forlan now in mid. etc. (Forlan hit the crossbar BTW)

I can see it now; the other clubs in group gonna claim you lot tanked the match.

3-0 now on a PK. It'll probably end this way. I can understand them not playing hard considering the injury situation, and the fact that the game is meaningless. Still I wish they had made it a bit closer.

Ricardo gets a yellow and gives up a penalty kick. He's unable to stop the kick as he's still wiping the blood from his mouth. (bloody ref is terrible)

    3-0 to Haifa.

I didn't know Brian Hall was doing the match.

ManU's bench is garbage. Thank God this a throw-away game and they had better hope they are never put in a situation like this again when it counts. If anything displayed ManU's lack of depth it's this game.

I'd say Haifa were lucky tonight with those two very good strikes. The scoreline doesn't really represent the way the game went, but life's never fair.

    Haifa 3-0 United Reserves.

Well, of course this isn't the strongest United side, but I wouldn't call it United Reserves either. Throughout the majority of the game, before Forlan was taken out, there are only around 3 United reserve players on the pitch (Ricardo + Fortune + Richardson), with the rest all being players with regular first team appearances. What's notable is that the back 4 is basically as good a back 4 as United's ever gonna get this season. It's the midfield that's light, with Paul Scholes being the only first team midfielder. And sure enough, both goals (except PK of course) came in from long range. As to the frontline, no RVN, no midfield support, no goals, no surprise.
