The Official travel and celebration info from United This just in from DC United's media relations folks: - The MLS Cup Champions D.C. United announced plans today for celebrations surrounding the club’s fourth Major League Soccer championship. The team returns for the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA, the site of the 2004 MLS Cup, tomorrow and will host a rally on the field at RFK Stadium on Tuesday, November 16th. “We want the best fans in Washington, DC to meet with us when we bring our trophy back where it belongs,” said United President and CEO Kevin Payne. D.C. United returns to the Washington area tomorrow evening. The club will arrive at Dulles international airport at 8:42 p.m. ET on United flight 890. Admission to Tuesday night’s festivities is free to the public. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. with the ceremony scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. D.C. United players and coaches will be joined on-stage for the event by Mayor Anthony Williams and D.C. Sports and Entertainment Commission Chairman Mark Tuohey. Food and beverage will be available for purchase as will official D.C. united team merchandise. Interactive games on the RFK pitch will also be available to soccer playing fans.

Last Monday my boss told me to take Monday (tomorrow) off...I just sent him an email asking to leave early on Tuesday....so, until I hear back from him Tuesday is not confirmed but, I'm sure he will give me that time as well.. Are we attempting to meet them tomorrow night or just wait for Tuesday evening at RFK??
I work downtown, right next to a metro stop. Needless to say, I will be there in suit and tie, straight from work!
