Reporting from the stadium. Pretty much a walk in the park. About 2/3 full with expected lack of atmosphere except the extremely loud techno music. Jesus. glad Diego got a goal and assist. He’s been working hard off ball and was getting a bit frustrated. So great to get the reward. Everybody looks decent against this side. Agyemang needs to change cleats.
You can tell that they are building. It’s good. This is exactly what you want in a tournament. You want to make some subs after the 65th minute and work the other guys in.
Why would someone who knows anything about soccer compare a winger to a striker? Weird take…I mean, Tim Howard scored a goal, so he’s better than every keeper who never scored a goal? In soccer, there are different positions. It’s not like basketball, where everyone can score points.
Jesus Ferreira has 15 goals in 23 caps! A better goal scoring rate than Pulisic! It's criminal Pulisic is starting over Ferreira! The logic of some of these posters...
T&T are poor, that’s for certain. But it’s great to see the extra effort from the USMNT pay off; fighting their way through physical play and making a real effort to win 50-50s. I hope the absent Europeans are taking a lesson from this standard being set.
If Luna can be Arriola's work rate with better technical skills, he would be a mainstay on any roster
Pig Pat created the first goal with his forward pressure. Luna created the 2nd goal with his anticipation of the back pass. Tillman initiated the 3rd goal with his long diagonal ball on a dime to Luna. looks like Big Pat will get credit for the 3rd goal instead of Luna?
He has size and grit. That is a good place to start. He is raw, but a potential uncut gem. I get trying to polish him up. He got a goal and made the play to get the first. He almost had another, and just off on another chance. It is T&T, and he did not know anything about the goal, but it counts
If the most important development from this game (apart from the three points and goal difference) is that Tillman finally gets his mojo going, that won't be a bad thing at all. Footing issues aside, everyone's having a good game, but obviously the level of this opponent is making the game very easy. Maybe even Johnny would be able to get it going today.
Arriola is a much different player, he’s legit explosive and fast. However, Luna is just as smart (maybe a bit smarter) and has some slick tools in his bag.
O 20 months ago when they beat us lol? Or when down a man they held us scoreless for 79 freaking minutes?
Alright, I'm liking Jackmac's game now that's he not so selfish. He had some nice passes and control with both feet. I can see him making it at the next level.
