Gio just must be hurt or not measuring on some key fitness metric. Only way this makes sense.

I'm fine w/ the lineup, so long as we don't have to sub out CP early or he's a liability because of the knock.

Also OK w/ Ferreira, as long as we're pressing. Then he was the sensible call, until the midfield wears down. It was the straight fw striker switch, with Sargent injured & Wright sucking. Normally I'd want to play Weah at CF, but when thinking about it, I like him attacking their wings which are susceptible.

Zimmerman back in for CCV is the right call when the latter made 6 crucial defensive errors that could have realistically led to a goal against v. a much worse team.

Oh boy. Glad to see Zim back in, but I woke up worrying about our D. Could be the decisive factor today, even more so than our striker situation.

Same. No need to get cute. This is going to come down to heart, discipline, and taking advantage of our chances.

Feel bad for Sarge but definitely wanted Ferreira to get his opportunity. Huge opportunity for him.

With Ferreira, I want him to press the hell out of Van Dijk today. Our attack will come down our wings.

Lineup makes sense. Hey Jesus Ferreira... hustle isn't optional.

Let it rip. Play smart, play brave, and what happens will happen.

What I like about the false 9 strategy is seeing if we can draw VVD out, and get our wingers making diagonal runs inside the box.

Didn't realize we were the only team in the group phase who didn't allow a goal from the run of play.
