Heeyyyy look, a lineup that doesnt suck. Would still make a few tweaks, but after last game's trot out, absolutely not gonna complain with this
Still not sure that going to 3 at the back with very little playing time together is smart. Couple that with the fact that the width will almost exclusively come from the wingbacks, resulting in transition chances off turnovers where the US already struggle. Will be interesting if Martinique can counter. Overall though no other complaints, good squad rotation.

3 center backs is overkill. agreed that these center backs are not used to playing as part of a 3 so it could be awkward unnecessarily so. i guess ggg being a former center back and thinking the team needs 3 of them kinda makes sense....if you squint real hard.... I woulda added another midfielder.... but this game is really all about canada. overall, pretty nice lineup though, all things considered.
Yessir! That's the exact lineup & formation I selected, except just had a little different arrangement. No need to nitpick. Hope to enjoy this one as much as one could an outing at home v. Martinique.

Could be they have Sands push up as a 6. Roldan as a wing, with Busio and Williamson as the 8s if they want to fluctuate as play dictates.
So who will be in the center of the 3 CBs? I expect it to be Zimmerman, as he is the most, ahem, mobility-challenged of the 3 guys back there. Edit: Wow, a shocker! The lineup has SANDS as the guy in the middle!
Who gets the brace/hat trick? Hoppe or Dike? I’m going to go with Hoppe, since he’s the kind of opportunistic scorer that usually cleans up in games like this. They’re going to have guys draped on Dike like an x-ray vest.
Fox is showing a 343, so I'd critique that aspect of it a bit now. Roldan and Hoppe are force fits. There's no wing creativity. The closest thing we have for wings are Bello & Moore. Roldan & Hoppe could get in their ways. We'll see how it plays out, and if they more play a 352, to give the right players space on the outside, and get the scorers inside where they belong.
