I’m representing both countries, but I was born here so my heart is closer to the U.S. but, if Ecuador wins I’m still happy.
🗣 Squaaad up! Introducing the #USMNT starting XI vs. Ecuador in Orlando » https://t.co/ron13BIuIw pic.twitter.com/3UeuMuTYsA— U.S. Soccer Men's National Team (@USMNT) March 21, 2019
Starting XI: Johnson; Adams, Long, Brooks, Ream (c); Trapp; McKennie, Pulisic; Morris, Zardes, Arriola
Meh lineup for a meh squad. Gonna have to DVR this one due to The NCAA Tournament, but I hope we play well.
Noteworthy points about the lineup: 1. Ream is the captain. 2. Long starts over Miazga. 3. Trapp starts over Bradley. 4. After the talk earlier this week that Yedlin will play as a winger, Yedlin instead will be playing the bench - for now.
Hahaha. Tim Ream. Team Ream. I've lost count the number of ways he's allowed players to score. I'm guessing today someone scores a bank shot off his weaponized left foot. Easily the slowest and least physical defender since...come to think of it he might be the best at both.
Bench: Horvath, Miazga, Yedlin, Lovitz, Bradley, Roldan, Lletget, Baird, Lewis https://www.ussoccer.com/stories/20...news-mnt-usa-vs-ecuador-friendly-lineup-notes Omar Gonzalez, Jesse Gonzalez, Cristian Ramirez, and Nick Lima did not dress.
———-Zardes - —Morris —-Pulisic - —————- Arriola - - - - - —- McKennie ————Trapp - Adams ———Brooks - Long - Ream ——————Steffen I’m not really sure tbh.
Fun fact: Tim Ream was at fault for the goal that tied the game up at Red Bull Arena, that team we faced back then was none other than Ecuador.
If its an exact copy of Camp Cupcake, then it will be like this if Tyler Adams is truly able to slide forward when the U.S. has the ball: -----Arriola---Zardes---Morris----- --------Pulisic----McKennie-------- -----------Trapp----Adams----------- -------Ream---Brooks---Long------- ----------------Johnson---------------- Arriola and Morris could be swapped, as could Brooks and Long, but I think I have the other players in the right spots.
And to round out the comments : Morris two words of advice: Zumba class! He appears to be on the Julien Green retired boxer diet. Think how fast he will be once Kuato is grafted off his torso?
N Fun fact he keeps playing and starting despite being garbage for this team. I can't put my finger on it but there is something Trapp Bradley Gregg and Team share in common. My mind is just white-ing out on the connection. You could start Nick Lima at left back and get Adams right back results !
It looks like 3G's was stressing passing out of the back. I think this is fine because the weak sisters will be filtered out and some replacements will come in v. Chile. If it is Ream, or Johnson or Brooks, so be it.
It's actually, 3G style ----arriola-----zardes-----morris --------pulisic---------wes (dual 10's) -------------trapp--------adams -------ream---brooks---long i.e., variation of 343
Get ready to be frustrated. Morris can only shoot with 1 foot Zardes can't trap the ball Goals will be coming from Pulisic and McKennie, maybe another surprise player or two.
