We need a player like James. He always creates something out of nothing. Do we have anything that resembles Jame's set of skills? Anything close?
Sweat not getting back, Picault not coordinating defensively, and that goes for Dave in general. Team is at 6's and 7's in step with his setup.
Bradley has looked like an amateur on the last goal and chance. What a night and day player in this match.
Lmao quick Twitter search here: Some real world-class tracking back and veteran leadership from Michael Bradley here. pic.twitter.com/vCB7f54LqO— Collin (@cmccollo) October 12, 2018
Man, the defense is supposed to be the strength of our team. The Forwards and AM's were where I had the questions.
You see, that's having respect for the game: not just pushing forward and trying to roll the ball into the net, but doing so with grace, with elegance, with passion. In moments like this I can completely understand why the Mexicans, the Mediterraneans and the South Americans despise the way we play soccer.
Yeah, he was baaad. He is just not a 90 minute player anymore. He actually looked good for 60 minutes.
Honestly, I'm actually more pissed off that after all these years (and in a region where we've got one of the more supported MLS sides in the country) we've got an overwhelmingly Colombian crowd going nuts. Learning to coach attacking creativity when 40 years ago we were getting coached out of a 30 year-old English manual is hard. But it's been over 24 years since we beat Colombia in the World Cup and we're still not making the ground culturally that I'd hoped. Or at least, half of Americans who claim to like soccer don't give a crap about American soccer.
