basically all of the players I wanted to see are on the bench... bassett, clark, cowell, Paredes (injured), gomez YAWN
Let’s see if Johnny Soccer can bounce back and get himself into the fringe picture going into ‘22. He was shockingly poor the last time I saw him play in the Olympics qualifying.
this was always going to be crap, but we wont see how ferreira and pepi do together nor will we see how morris looks cause the ball isnt going to get past this midfield. theres literally nothing positive i can see coming out of this. cowell, clark and gomez being unused subs and che getting a cameo...at rb- cmon, gregg, just crush all hope. i look forward to the garbage time zardes finish so the brigade can pop the champagne...
Not bad.... or at least close to expected. I would have preferred Reynolds over Lennon, Booth in the XI, or pick or choose between Acosta or Roldan (I guess it’s okay to start off this way). I’m glad Zardes isn’t starting. I’m thrilled that Yuiell isn’t starting. I’m glad Turner, Pepi, Johnny, Morris, Ferreira, Zimmerman, Kessler (there was no one else), and Bello are starting. It’ll be interesting if Booth, Cowell, Clark, Gomez, and Reynolds come into the game. Those are my preferred subs. Starting out... this is a defensive XI. Don’t expect much creativity.
Love lining up defensively in a friendly, at home, against Bosnia & Herzegovina's U23 side. Thanks Gregg!
Geeze people. It was already announced that this was about keeping the MLS NT guys in shape. Finding additional depth is secondary.
So are we just going to deny any possibility that these guys just competed in camp over the last few weeks and these were the guys who performed best?
Fox announcers sure like the sound of their own voices and I think the TV director might be in love with Morris with all the camera time he has bee given.
