Yes we ae. And we don't have the "red card" excuse.

One entire half and we have no effective shots on goal. i think there were a couple the were at goal but they were hit with the little or no power or they missed badly. Maybe soccer is just not a sport for the USA.
Maybe the 2nd half will be better.

Well I didn't spend the first half fighting off a nap so that's a bonus so far

Just below par! Keep it going boys.

Seriously though wouldn't mind some halftime subs. Aaronson & Sargent to start, move Musah more central. That would be my move.

I think Poch would be wise to stick to Gregg's depth charts. Gregg has his faults but working out who can play and who can't generally wasn't one of them.

The good news is that Poch can try to set things straight at halftime.
The bad news is that it will still feature the same group of mediocre players.

We're still to static and dawdling too much on the ball in the back. But we didn't start the game that way. We might've been a tad bit gassed at the end of the half.

And.... 3 hits on Pulisic. None extremely serious, but this is a friendly, and Panama can't help but be Panama. A message needs to be sent. Someone needs to send it.

Tepid. Virtually even with Panama at home. You would think the players would want to smash Panama in the mouth after that embarrassing elimination. Instead they look like they want to be somewhere else.

    First half ratings:

Turner - 5. He stopped what he should have stopped. But there’s a reason he’s not playing for his club. And that’s because he’s a donkey.

Scally - 6. Quiet but solid.

Ream - 6. Quiet but solid.

McKenzie - 7. Looks like he belongs.

Jedi - 7. Could be a little cleaner on his final product but he owns his side of the field.

Morris - 6.5. I don’t think this bulldog will be in the Championship for long. His hustle helps us clean up possession.

Busio - 7.5. Probably the player of the half.

Aaronson - 5.5 Not terrible but not helping our offense click. But he presses well.

Musah - 5. Not much. Looks sluggish. Not terrible though.

Pulisic - 7. Clearly our most talented player.

Sargent - 5 Not threatening. But he’s not embarrassing himself either.

They might want to, but the problem is Panama still looks like they’re not intimidated by the U.S.

Looks like Busio and Morris are playing pretty conservatively. They are consistently in good defensive position when Panama has the ball.

I lost count of how many times Morris and Aaronson lost the ball.

I agree. Three hacks on our #10.

Someone has to inflict a bit of pain, I think, or it's going to persist.

Defensive midfield needs suns. Sargent ... it is what it is.

    Better intensity. Not enough scoring.

I’d like to see Malik Tillman for Aaronson, Wright for Musah, and Pepi for Balogun.

That’s one thing about Panama, they almost always bring a physical and pretty good game against us. Rarely a pushover.

Aaronson was good but I'd sub him off for the sake of his club situation. Bring on Tillman (Aaronson), McKennie (Morris), and Pepi (Sargent). Score a couple goals quickly and get Pulisic off.

I think/hope we are, maybe, hoping Panama will tire in the second and we can run the score. But i also think Panama may be hoping the same thing. We are playing mainly even with Panama. That is pathetic.

Musah ended up doing a lot more than Aaronson from what I could tell... at least in the attack.

Counter pressing was looking okay there for a few moments, forced some good stuff. This will get better over time, looking forward to that improvement.

Aaronson had a better half than Musah. But Musah was ok.
