Dest in front of Ream in a back 4…if that doesn’t work it’s the decision Greg will get the most grief for
Good lord thats a strong team. My only quibble is Ream starting. Greg seems to have a very high opinion of Mr. Ream, but, Im not going to gripe about it because Greg has earned a degree of autonomy in his selection. Its been working for him, so Ill let the chef cook.
well, now we have to score at least two to hopefully get a win, cause ream in a 2 man backline? we aint keeping a clean sheet. just gotta lay it on em, i guess.
Exactly, don't like the D much, but as I said before, this really is a tremendous roster. Interested to see what Yedlin has, as he's in the club wilderness, and hasn't been on the field too much with the NT recently. Where are all these guys who said it'd be ridiculous to start KDLF on the left? I'm going to be here all night for the mea culpas and "you were right yurch10"s that I'm sure will be arriving soon... I actually think this is a pretty bold starting 11 from Gregg, and sorta like it overall.
Does this lineup actually have a back four of Dest-Ream-Yedlin-Jedi? Did they list A Robinson but mean M Robinson? Am I taking crazy pills? On the other hand, like Reyna in the midfield and Konrad getting a big chance.
Uhhh... *quickly edits graphic* I have no idea what you’re talking about, you must definitely be taking crazy pills.
just posted elsewhere- ream is gonna end turners honeymoon. im thinking hes worse (in a 4 man backline!) than turner is good.
I admit my first instinct would have been to go Twin Towers with Miles and JAB, so curious to see how Ream does here.
If anyone cares about the league breakdown of El Salvador's XI, 6 are based in El Salvador, 3 in MLS, 1 in USL, and 1 in Guatemala
it makes zero sense that he's even on the roster, let alone starting....I really don't get it. the only way is if the coaches predict that the opponent will literally have zero attack and be parking the bus and that his passing will help....but even then I still wouldnt even call him up cuz his passing isnt good enough to cover for his slow footspeed and lack of 1 on 1 defensive ability. hes not pirlo. CB passing is not that necessary...theres enough of it all over the field. Just pick two solid 1 on 1 defenders, imo. *and never call up ream again.
Brooks is a better passer than Ream, in addition to his other relative strengths. All I can see is that Gregg doesn’t want to ride Brooks for all theee games and is sitting him here.
Excited to see what Aaronson and Reyna can do. I haven’t been big on Konrad but he’s playing well. I will be watching his ball retention and defensive effort closely. Hopefully he can get the ball out wide in some space. Let’s see if Ream and Yedlin surprise us
i think ggg sees a lot of himself in ream...they are kinda similar players...so maybe thats where the soft spot comes from.....could also just be ego as well..... i wouldnt put ream in top 8 of us cb's, personally.
