And now, after trying to gouge each other's eyes out for the last couple hours, everyone showers up and meets at the local for pupusas and cervezas. Gotta love CONCACAF. If nothing else, it's great theater.
He got a lot of backlash for taking a college player over pro's at the time, but yeah he was the Herrman winner that year. It worked out. He would be further along had his knees not blown out. But he is still a serviceable concacaf winger.
Cannon absolutely would not pass to anyone making a run behind. He wasn’t horrible on D, but he was death to the offense.
Call me naïve but I took away more positives than negatives in this game (a lot of negatives for sure though). Good amount of lessons learned and bulletin board material for Greggy.
Maybe but being average to below average shouldn't get the guaranteed minutes he gets. We should be trying a new player there every time this team plays.
I don't know that he's "off the team for sure." I mean, who is going to move him off? It won't be Moore. As much as I'd wanted Scally to step up and take it, he didn't. And that was kind of the theme of the camp for the guys still auditioning. The established players largely played well in this camp, but most of the bubble guys were somewhat disappointing.
Just looking at the "highlights" (heheh) it seems Adams was lucky as hell not to get the straight red.
He was pretty bad D too. Gave up bad fouls and giveaways. Didn't close players quick. But your point, on offense, so many plays just died on the right side of the field go forward.
I'm not sure I used an exclamation mark - and while I agree it doesn't tell the whole story especially as far as rankings go - in the context of his remark that we have an easy group - I am saying there is an argument that we got one of the tougher groups as a pot 2 team because of the higher ranking average. We don't have easy 3 and 4 pot teams. It would be easier if we got France, Australia, and Tunisia.
Agreed that you refuted the easiest group opinion. I was just trying to go a little further. And no, you didn't use an exclamation point. Sorry for the embellishment.
Arriola says hi. Wright wasn't great. CCV was a tad shaky early. But you can see why Cannon is a RCB at club instead of a FB.
It was nice seeing Morris score but why did it take Gregg to go over to the celebration to remind the players that they had only tied the score. I wonder what his exact words were but I wish it were something like, "Guys, the game isn’t over. Now get back out there and win this effing game"
