It'll also be on YES network on Thursday, 2/13, 7pm EST. From the looks of it every Thursday YES will show 2 back to back United games - premiership game(s) played the previous week and classic matches.

Oh yeah, and just like young Terence and Collin, I'll love it!

    http://www.manutd.com/oddkinsons/intro.sps

By the way, just wondering, is it just me or does anyone else have trouble understanding the Oddkinson dialogues? Some parts I had to listen to a couple of times before I get the joke, but they're pretty funny!

As a side note, I've never been to England and I can't tell a Mancunian accent from a Liverpudlian accent, but it strikes me as fascinating that two distinct accents were developed in two cities so close together geographcially. Sure in the states there's an East coast accent and Southern accent but we're talking about thousands of miles apart, while Manchester and Liverpool are only like 30 miles from each other! Does anyone have any say in this?

To get further into the derby spirit, here's something fun for you guys . . . angrams. You know, when you scramble the letters around and create new words.

Okay, let's see. For "Manchester United", we have:

    Unmatched entries.
    I am the decent runs.
    Much neat trendies.
    Handiest, cuter men.
    Is neater Dutchmen.
    Nuts! The nice dream!
    United, hence smart!

    :)

Now, let's switch over to neighbors "Manchester City", and see what we've got:

    Retch nasty mice.
    The cynic master.
    I'm teeny scratch.
    Ratty, chic semen.
    Tarty, chic semen.
    Synthetic cream.
    My cretin cheats.
    Yes, match cretin.
    I'm stretchy acne.
    Sh!tty me cancer.
    Rich yet net scam.
    Men yet chic star.
    An erect, sic myth.
    My! Sh!t! Can erect!
    My! Their accents!

    Last but not least . . .
    Enemy, scratch it!!

Why can't they put this on sky sports one like the last derby, bastards.

I'm having a little trouble understanding certain parts too. Maybe we need some subtitles like during that episode of Oasis:Behind The Music (them being from Manchester and all). :D

    1-1 FT

Goater haunts ManU again! He could have had the winner in the end if he weren't offside!

Goater made it 1-1 with his first touch of the game. Derby ends in a disappointing draw.

Man U could have had three different winners if the referee knew what a handball, or a foul was, and what happenes when it occurs in the goal box.

Gutted, i would've thought we'd easily win this :(. Still, if Newcastle do well, it won't matter much. Hopefully castle will win and we'll be only 2 points behind the ass

And we stay three points behind. Nothing lost. But so much could have been gained....

Quick question? Howcome United have a handball appeal denied in the box when Beckham cut a ball back from the touch line to a United player (Scholes?) who shoots only to see a City defender slide out to stop the shot, which he does with his arm that is above his head?

Then when Silvestre has virtually the same thing happen to him, except he was standing up, outside the box, and deflects a cross, the ref awards the free kick that City score off of. They still would have won a corner if he would have let the game play on, which they still could have scored from. It just seems to be a bit of inconsistency in officiating.

Not to mention that he got the penalty appeal on Beckham in the first half all wrong.

But will still had our chances, especially when first RVN then Giggs were one on one with the keeper.

Oh well, we're lucky NUF pulled off the tie, and there's still plenty of time left in the season. Let's keep it going.

He seemed to recognise handball in injury time!! I don't think the penalty appeals were nailed on,the refs got to be absolutely certain to give it & the "experts" were still undecided after 5 different TV angles!I thought it was a cracking game, played in a good spirit,Keane, for me,was man of the match. In the end the draw was a fair result.
    (6 easy points? HA!)

What a disappointing result. Goater gets to be the hero one more time. Keegan gets to look like a genius for one more week. So many chances. But you don't get 3 points for style. Credit City for doing their best with time running out.

The team may have been looking ahead to next week's clash against Arse. I hope the result will be better.

Not trying to bait here or anything, but ManU have benefitted many, many times in the past by these types of non-calls....

You're in denial, guys. Utd's second half performance was atrocious! They came out apparently believing that the one goal was all they needed and began to ponce around. At times they were barely able to string two passes together.

Veron was back to his best "here, have the ball Claude", Scholes' award seems to have been the kiss of death - he had his worst game of the season - and RvN seemed to think that all the City defenders had gone home when he was put through one and one with the keeper and yards to spare and was caught by a City defender. The defender could have written his memoirs first and still caught him.

This was another missed opportunity to catch Arsenal and a reminder to Utd that you can't stroll through a Premiership match against anyone and expect to win it. Another performance like that against Arsenal in the FA Cup and they'll get trounced. Presumably Alex won't be so complacent.

What puzzles me is that Alex doesn't seem to have looked at the league table. Utd have the Championship in their own hands. If they beat Arsenal in their league game then the points are even. But Arsenal have a better goal difference. Utd need to get that right. But against West Ham and Birmingham, and now here against City, they go one goal up and then relax and cruise instead of boosting their goal difference.

Pulling back the points on Arsenal and then losing the Premiership on goal difference would be idiotic.

Darn. I keep forgetting that we are the only team that gets calls in this league. Thanks for pointing that out.

I can't comment on the whole game as I only saw the 2nd half but we did look kinda flat and the equalizer was a long time coming. RVN and Giggs had chances to kill City off but ....
can't blame to ref too much. *************** happens when you let it.

good result for city, 4 pts out of 6. terrible for us, only helped by the fact that the Arse were held also.

haven't heard what SAF had to say but I'd imagine he's pissed.

United had numerous chances to get the second goal and secure the win, but they did not take advantage of them. How many games does Beckham get three free kicks from scoring range? As close as he came on two of them, close counts no more than a horrible miss.

On City's goal, the thing that I was most disappointed in was that the team was not on the same page. As soon as the free kick was taken square, all of the United players pulled out, except Rio and Silvestre, which left them well outnumbered in front of goal. If you are going to pull an offside trap, you better make sure that everybody knows about it, otherwise you will see a great goal scoring opportunity.

Also, Carroll appeared shaky in goal. Not his fault on the goal scored, but there were a few poor plays where he could have given away an easy goal. Hope Barthez recovers quickly. (Any word on when he might be available?)
