Looks like no one's started the actual game thread. Unfortunately, I'll be taping the game as I have to work. I sure wish United had Scholes. But, I'm sure Madrid fans are saying the same thing about Raul.

Are you going to be able to listen to it at work? I had the afternoon off, so that I could go to a local pub (Sports Bar), and watch the game. Unfortunately, my bosses yanked it from me so I could provide on-site computer support for all day presentations. I may not even get to listen to it. I hope Man. United gets the necessary goals and moves onto the next round.

No, but I wouldn't listen to it even if I could. There's nobody at work to spoil the game by giving me the score. So, I'll watch it when I get home. It doesn't matter to me if the delay from live is a few seconds coming from a satellite or several hours on a tape, as long as I don't know what happens.

I must have missed something - why has Beckham been on the bench so much recently?

First, he was injured. Then we pasted Liverpool and Newcastle. Ferguson decided to hold him out of the Arsenal match, but had him warming up midway through the second half, and I think we would have seen him if we hadn't of equalized so quickly. Becks was back in the lineup for Blackburn and did very well, as did the team as a whole. Becks didn't play well in the last Real match, lining up against Carlos. Solksjaer brings a bit more speed on the right side than Becks does. I wouldn't be surprised to see Becks come on in the 2nd half, or even earlier if disaster strikes...

    Beckham Benched

Beckham is benched???? Why, please tell me why. I understand that Ole is good, and is quicker on the ball. But, Ole cannot cross worth anything. We live in the air offensivley and we will not do great without David there to cross... Oh man, what is going on here?

Yeah, that beauty to Giggs for the equalizer at Highbury was obviously a mis-hit.... [IMG]

I love Ole, dont get me wrong. I wasn't keeping track but I would guess that more than half of his crosses ended up off target. I would like to see David and Ole in the game. Maybe keeping Butt on the bench, and throwing Ole' in the middle. Something has to work with both of them.

    Here's my prediction...

First half goals from Van Nistelrooy and Zidane will have the sides tied at one goal to one at the half-time break. In the second half, Ruud will score another and Ole will come up big to make it 3-1 at full-time. Who will come up big in extra time? David Beckham, who will come in for Veron around the 80th minute.

Come on you Reds! Tear Madrid apart!

So, Man U needs 3 goals to tie, 4 to win, right?

3 unanswered goals to force extra time periods. Either a 4th goal then or penalties to go through...

I'm "stuck" on my computer, can't watch the game.

    address:

But, seems their server's too busy, I haven't
    managed to log in, yet.

    There's a "Man U-Real Madrid" logo, with a
film reel stripe on the bottom of it, see it?
There are 2 icons at the bottom right of this
logo. Click on the left one.
    You need Real player.
