Weeee!!!! We're up 1-0 on nice Josh Gros goal. So did they have to evacuate Arrowhead for security reasons or something? I don't recall FIFA or MLS mandating this game be played without fans.
Thank goodness Bo is on the Tony Meola diet. If he han't ben loving the groceries, he mihg have actuall gotten to that deflection.

Ball deflects off of Jamie and rebounds to Gros jst as he crossed the half line. Flag stayed down. Gros goes down and fires a shot that was going wide but deflects off the defender's foot. Fat Bo was to slow to get the deflection and it rolls into the corner of the goal.
Pass from Jaime at the half line that deflected off a Wiz defender to Gros. Close to offside. Gros carried in down the left/center flank and the wiz defender gave him space, cause Jaime was right next to him. Gros took the shot with his left, to the far post on the ground and the defender got a bit of a deflection and it went past Oshonti into the right side panel. Nice run by Gros and he was smart in taking the space the wiz gave him. MOre afraid of Moreno but they still got burned. Preki is now on in the 2nd.
Quick counter at midfield to Gros in the left channel (difflected off on Moreno's boot at the midfield strip-Josh was on the line when the ball squirted to him and the flag stayed down). Moreno runs right at goal with Adu ghosting at the right channel as Gros drives forward. As the defenders track back, filling the passing lanes, Josh touches wide to get space on the right back and cracks one. The original shot was going close to the right post, and Adu maybe could have gotten there, but the KC right back stuck a foot out end-line-side and changed the path about 5°. Bo was at full stretch, but it crossed under his palms as he dove to his left and settled in the side netting. Some quality shots from distance, and Simms is switching the ball well out of the back. It's hella hot in KC tonight, so the less running the better. Also, quality spin-move by Wilson about the 10th minute to spark a rather dangerous attack. However, KC's looked good playing dirct balls behind the DC lack line...
