One of my co-workers was at the Redskins game yesterday, and he said "One of the biggest chears of the whole game came when the 3-2 MLS Cup final score was announced on the scoreboard." Nice.
Maybe we'll convert the 'Skins fans into DC United fans. See if they might want to back a winning team --kravi
Yeah a buddy of mine called me from the game to congratulate us on our Cup!He was sounding a bit depressed that the Skins weren't doing as well.
No doubt he'll be back next season. Maybe he'll bring some of the other Hogettes with him. I know they love the Skins, but it's possible to love another type of local football team too.
I think they should all come to a game next season in full dress! That would be a statement to Dan Snidely. GM
as we were leaving Baileys singing and delirious with joy an a-hole Redskin fan yells out at me... "Soccer sucks!" Everyone else ignored him, but I of course took the bait. I went back and told him (in front of 100 or so Skins fans) that I am ALSO a REDSKINs fan and will LOVE Joe Gibbs to the day I die. BUT... I also just watched a Washington team actually play its guts out and win it ALL, all while he was watching OUR Redskins play one of their worse games of the season AT HOME to one of the worst franchises in the history of sports. So yeah, "soccer may suck" But we sure as hell didnt lose to the Bengals on Sunday either. I actually recieved applause from the rest of the Redskins in the room. It was great!
haha a few friends of mine were at the skins game as well and congratulated me this morning at school i was like, dont congratulate me, i sat my ass on my sofa all sunday
That seems to be the story of my life recently. I've been getting mad props at work....oddly enough from the same people that give me crap for pounding a drum and painting up like Darth Maul.
Chicago Fire fan REP-presenting here. I regret I could only cover for one of you guys. And congratulations on the Cup.
