    Digital's Ratings

    Rimando - 6
Any time a keeper gets a shutout it's hard to go below a 6.

    Prideaux - 7
Completely shut down one of the hottest players in the league. Also, playing on his natural side--the right-- he put in an excellent cross.

    Petke - 7
Covered for Ivanov well, shut down everything in the middle, and organized a great defensive effort.

    Ivanov - 5
Beaten by Damani Ralph, Justin Mapp and Nate Jaqua more than a few times. While I do like his ball skills and free kick abilities, his defensive tactics and execution are sloppy. He consistently lets guys get in a good position to score at least 2-6 times a game, and that's just not acceptable for a defender. He must improve his defending.

    Olsen - 5.5
Very good job on DaMarcus, but was abused several times by Mapp. He tried to play Mapp physically because both know that Mapp is far faster than Olsen, and it resulted in a couple truly cheap shots.

    Nelsen - 7
Excellent job defensively and he had two pretty nice shots.

    Convey - 7.5
Dominated the midfield. Chicago was without Armas (Dmid) and Bocanegra (center back) as well as Jesse Marsch (Mid) who are all good defenders, but Convey was unstoppable by a decent Logan Pause and Kelly Gray. Justin Mapp had the right idea, grab Convey's jersey as often as possible, because otherwise he's going to expose you. Convey is clearly the engine that this offense needs.

    Etcheverry - 6
The PK was excellent, but you expect that to be made. Etch had a very nice endline dribble cross that almost led to a goal, and did some great work holding the ball, but at the end of the day you need more than 1 dangerous opportunity created. He played the ball quickly and hustled, so it was a good game.

    Kovalenko - 7.5
Almost had 3 goals, and truthfully, earned the two we did score. Made the most of his few chances. Frankly, he had me wondering how he might pair with Curtis up top. Not afraid to shoot, makes the final pass when it's there, and always hustles.

    Curtis - 6
Probably deserves a higher grade, but great job. He made diagonal runs and delivered very sweet diagonal passes. But, had several half-chances and one good one from Etch and he didn't finish any, thus I cannot give him a higher grade.

    Quintanilla - 5
Not a bad game, but had 2 or 3 good chances to score and couldn't get the business done. His lack of speed prevented him from reaching a few dangerous passes.

    Eskandarian - NR
Not involved enough to rate, but he did miss a chance immediately after he entered.

    Alegria - 5
Held the fort while protecting the lead.

On a scale of 1 to 10, as requested, average is 5.5. (I'm not sure how you can end up with a 5 being average on 10 point scale since that would leave you with more above-average ratings, 6-10, than below-average ratings, 1-4.)
