Any opinion on Brahim is speculation for now. Barely played a meaningful game in his career so far.

Meaningful, now that's a word we can't use to describe Bale's last ~100 appearances.

He’s either been on the bench, injured or putting in shit performances on the pitch and him being 30 is not an excuse.

Age wise it still puts him close to retirement Sherlock.

With the kind of pace we're signing promising attacking players, Brahim will be at Bale's age until he reaches 100 appearances overall for Madrid.

Players who are 30 are not at the end of their careers.

They are more often than not at the end of the top level especially in positions where speed and acceleration are the most important attribute. You won't see many wingers playing for a CL contender post 30.

Bale is pretty much a step below our targeted level, but age+injuries makes this a logical conclusion. The club have him on a retirement contract, he's honoring it. Telling players to f off when they are of no use despite having a contract but tying them down when they want to leave because they have a contract is the nature of a football fan.

Not a bad performance from Brahim at all, especially after barely seeing the pitch for a while.
