Celebrating as a multimillionaire football player scoring against players that earn about 1000 Euro from football is an absolutel dick move to be honest. The player with the "biggest career" from Unionistas simply played for the Espanyol youth teams. Anybody with self respect should do the same to be honest.
Some would argue that not celebrating is disrespectful, if you’re too good to celebrate against them then you must be too good to be on the same field as them but even if you put the lack of celebration aside his attitude has been total garbage, hasn’t been limited to this game either.
He hasn't played a game in months and you expect him to step into the field and deliver immediately yet Hazard needed months to "play himself into shape" and we were told to ignore all the poor performances in between because all that mattered was getting him into form. We're talking about Hazard choking on sitters, turn poo versus galore, fat and slow as a snail. The double standards here.
Injured + lack of playing .. if not that then why did he lose it according to you sherlock? Almost everyone would agree that James was a top level player when in form last year.. the guy scored a hat-trick in one of his last games with Bayern. Or are you suggesting that he’s always played this bad ? edit: I just watched his highlights and he wasn’t actually that bad. He created a few scoring opportunities and his crossings were on point but his finishing is rusty as hell.. I’ve seen a lot worse performances from Lucas, Vini, Bale, Hazard and Isco.
Dude, plenty of players do it. I've seen Germany trash teams 8-1 and the players do a handshake or a high five and that's it. I think Bale's time is over but criticism over not celebrating vs guys that work Office jobs is ridiculous. If you've played as an amateur vs pros, the worst feeling is getting it rubbed in your face that you're inferior. It's an asshole move.
Yea after the 4th goal or so usually not the first or second, players tend to celebrate those even against vastly inferior teams unless it’s a friendly. Overly celebrating the 4th or 5th goal could be considered rubbing it in but you celebrate the first one, always and no one would consider it disrespectful, especially not in a god damn cup competition, how is this even an argument?
Anyway We avoided a loss and injuries. Let's be happy for once. People always gotto complain We won and we move on. Hala Madrid
why don’t you @ me you coward? “The guy who made the post” Seriously? I don’t defend Hazard cape and spade unlike some of you that call for James literally after every game. Hazard hasn’t done well. He’s been injured for half the season and the other half he hasn’t played to expectation. Hes going to get time since he just arrived to this team as a marquee signing. Where’s your criticism of James? Oh wait...All I said was he was awful today but you James FC stans bring up Hazard to defend him lmao
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills in this forum at times. Bale wasn't great, but he scored our first goal. He also made a run and played a ball across that should have ended in the second goal had our player on the end of it not fired right at the keeper. That's more end product than 75% of our players today so I'm not sure why people are so mad at Bale specifically.
Man saying Brahim is better than Bale is honestly hilarious to me. How the ******** in any possible way could Brahim be better than Bale when we have barely seen him play for RM. So in a big game you rather Brahim than Bale plays? Some of you are insane. Sure you can talk about Bale's personality and the problems he has off the pitch, but come on you can't say with a straight face that Brahim Diaz should play ahead of Gareth Bale and even that he is better...
Copa del reys new format is so much better,it makes the tournament much more exciting and unpredictable.I wonder why it took Spain so long to make it like this . As for the game, the most important thing was that there werent any injuries. Some players who got a chance to prove that they have a place in the team FAILED MISERABLY. James was awful,he is so slow, cant dribble, doesnt have the movement to play as a CM....there is a reason why Zidane benched him for Isco .With him on the pitch we have no control over the ball and the game,Isco provides this thats why he plays.James is the 6 midfielder in the pecking order and he should leave. Mendy is Real Madrid starting left back,Marcelo should accept a rotation role . Vinicius was ok,he had some good runs and dribbles,he and Hazard are the most dangerous wingers in the team, wasting minutes on Lucas and Bale is a disgrace
Let's be honest, people here hate Bale with a passion. He doesn't celebrate, it's bad, if he would have celebrated it would have been "look at this loser celebrating a goal vs amateurs like that". We've reached a point where he is generally disliked, but celebrating vs Unionistas should be beneath anybody making Salamanca's annual budget in a month.
Sometimes I feel I am watching different sport or at least a different game. Let's compare how much slower he is to Kroos or Isco for example. When they are holding the ball, people say they are good at protecting the ball and not losing it. When James is doing it is because he is trying to turn to his left foot. It is laughable excuse. If he is to pass the backwards or sideways, he can and he is doing it immediately. The reason he is holding the ball is because he is either searching for dangerous runs or paths for the attack to continue. He is always trying first the more risky variants. Also he is very clever and reads the game very well if not the best in the final third of the pitch and he is always timing his passes according his teammates' runs. Bundesliga even made time analysis when he was at Bayern: I don't want to start another James dispute because people here either love him or hate him. We don't have another player like him in the squad and in my opinion he should be the first sub in when we need to unlock tight defenses. If not a starter in most of the games... We've been missing this type of player since Ozil left. I loved watching the german play, just like I loved watching Guti. In form James is a joy to watch also. Past two years our game were boring as hell as all of our midfielders love to control the game in first place and rarely look for riskier opportunities. EDIT: Just wanted to add about the missed chances last night. First one was very difficult, second one he could shoot in the opposite angle but still he shot next to the side bar. It wasn't the perfect shot but still the goalkeeper produced a nice save. I mean come on after all the misses of our strikers, you are talking about those two situations? This is a bad game?
I think that some of the pro James agenda by some posters have led to an anti James agenda by others. Players like Hazard were made excuses for and given time to get into shape. Isco was in terrible form and has come back to life after much trust and time by Zidane. Kroos had a terrible 18 month stretch and finally played himself back into his world class self. James plays his first significant minutes in months after being injured HE IS TURRIBLE. TUUUURRRIBLE I TELL YA.
That Bayern attack had much more depth than our current squad. Point being, you cannot make such passes or in general play this way, when players are not running behind opponents defense or between the lines. Albeit, we improved in this regard with playing Valverde. As i said, i would try James behind Hazard and Benzema, and see what happens.
When those players are in bad form, it’s called out. I think a majority of posters want Isco sold. How many people wanted Kroos extended at the time? But you guys can’t seem to handle a single negative word about James’ performance of a single match. Why the caps lock? Lol There were obviously a number of bad performances in this match given the opposition. Bale was bad. Vinicius and Jovic can’t score. Marcelo is done. Even one of my favorites, Militao, did not have a great game. That video doesn’t show every touch. For example, he had a few reckless turnovers that I can clearly remember that were not depicted there.
Lol i have been critical of James many times. Especially his little diva attitude he got after his 2014 season. But when some nonsensical shit is stated i am going to call it out. Either way. I for one don't put any blame on Zidane anymore for James little dilemma. The dude has become super injury prone and he decided to come back fully knowing what was awaiting him. That's on him...not on Zidane. And we can bitch and moan all we want, but that's his mistake..not Zidane's. At this point, all i personally hope for is that he can stay healthy and remain a professional player.
James was a fantastic player for Bayern for the majority of his time there and would have made a great amount of impact if he would have committed to the club fully.
What's going with Rodrygo? I read a couple of you sugesting Brahim should play over him. Is he doing that bad?
This is true, I also remember one or two and didn't see them, but he contributed for our attack the most and it is pretty clear in the video. Casemiro who was praised after the game by people here and has the highest rating at managingmadrid had several occasions with very bad ball control, almost losing it. The pitch was bad, so it can happen to everyone to make a mistake.
