I feel ambivalent about it. It feels really busy in a '90s Xtreme! kind of a way, and I'm a center stripe die-hard, but it uses the Philadelphia flag/Sons of Ben colors, and you can take chances with change kits, and they finally did take a real chance with it, so I'll tip my cap to that. I think I'll just reserve judgment until I see it in action on the field.
I will admit that I'm 100% buying this off of the FUT market once EA put it in the game. This is a fantastic video game kit.
Bootleg edition already available: https://www.dhgate.com/product/mls-...#gp-1-16|1:a260a1d5a447499fa555c9b98790fc9a:1 lmao. For $20, hell, I might just get one.
Burlington in Hatfield has a bunch of these in multiple sizes. $29.99 They have a few good kits available. Snagged one of those US kits, a France kit for my wife, and an AC Milan kit.
Are they the replica or authentic versions? And would you be willing to pick one up and I could PayPal/Venmo you for price, tax, shipping, and tip?
I think it's the replica. The MSRP is $90. The France kit is $160 msrp. If you want one, I'm here for another 15 minutes or so.
I wish the Union still ran their own online store, rather than the entire league (and for the matter, the entire sports industry) going through Fanatics. Feels like the only way to get special patched jerseys is in person.

This popped up on ebay. Based on the high quality and the seller being located in Chester it is almost certainly legit. ...Probably fell off a truck or train or something...
Does winning make the kit look better or is it that the marketing has improved at pace with the play and players on the field?
I like it, but I'd like to see them re-center the logo. Off-center is so commonplace, and centered was kind of their thing. Oh well.
Love this and it is probably my favorite Union primary to date. I wish they would use the same design sensibilities but with a gold central stripe. Not having "Bimbo" be a bumper sticker makes a dramatic difference in the quality of the look. If they took the 2016 primary (IMHO the best of the central stripe) and put Bimbo as a solid color (gold probably wouldn't work but light blue or even white), I think it would look even better than this. But I'm real pleased with this year's look. So much so that I'm thinking about buying it, something I haven't done since the inaugural season (I hate jerseys with sponsorships on them).
It sounds like they are moving away from gold as a major component of the jerseys. Likely only used as an accent moving forward. https://phillysoccerpage.net/2022/02/17/the-unions-new-home-kit-background-and-analysis/
I'm not really sure I understand what they are saying since gold still is a large part of the jersey color (hell, including the Bimbo sponsorship this season). That just seems like they need to find the right shade of gold and use it. I agree that the initial color used, more of a beige tone, was not ideal and using a more metallic/shiny version of gold works much better. The gold on this year's primary looks great and I think a central stripe of the same color would work well. But okay, I guess I get the premise that they have trouble selling jerseys if they are too similar each year and that's why they have moved away from the gold stripe - and in fact most MLS teams have a tendency to change any prominent jersey concepts (Galaxy dropped the sash this year, Dallas ditched the red and white hoops, Chicago the white horizontal stripe, etc). If so then I guess we'll just see some variation of blue and gold with the light blue tossed in at times. Maybe we can at least get blue/gold vertical stripes at some point or maybe blue with gold sleeves.
THe issue is the Gold of the Bimbo logo doesn't match the other gold elements of the kit ( the piping and trim on the color and sleeves for example). The Union have had 19 different jerseys throughout their history, and 13 of them have not had a center stripe. 10 of 16 if you don't include the parlay kits. https://www.footballkitarchive.com/philadelphia-union-kits/ Maybe they have a solid gold kit with navy accents? Though the kit sponsor logo would likely get lost on that background......which from the sponsors standpoint would be an issue. When a company pays over a million dollars for their logo to be featured on a kit, it needs to be visible.
