4 of the 6 3rd place teams advance, it is based on points, then on goal differential, then on goals scored. Those are also the orders of importance. If teams are tied on points, then goal differential is the decider, any ties after goal differential then go to goals scored. After that I think it is a coin flip, not joking. There is a schedule on FIFA's U-20 World Cup site showing who will play who based on standings in the first knock-out round.
