Does anyone have a schedule of scrimmages the team will play? I'm assuming they'll play Chivas and the Galaxy's academy teams.

Malcolm Jones (Chivas USA; Chino Hills, Calif.) and Ben Swanson (Columbus Crew; Grove City, Ohio) both are 97's. This 2 can be a graet addition to Bradenton this upcoming fall.
I like this entire changing of the evaluation for U17 Bradenton. Instead of selection and essentially going with that group for 2 yrs with little change, its constant evaluation and competition for the spots. Alot of talent changes happens with players 16-17 yr old.

The U17s will play matches tonight against Chivas USA and Real SoCal U18s. Meanwhile, Chivas USA U15/16s will play against the Region IV ODP team(I'm assuming '95s).

Pacheco's got a real knack for the goal. He puts himself in dangerous positions and is a clinical finisher. I'll echo what JR said, Swanson had a really fine game. His poise and understanding of the game make him appear much older than he is. Great vision and touch as well. He also appears to have added a certain bite to his game that was missing when I last saw him with the Under 15's. Good prospect. Rolando Munoz from the Galaxy is another player that had a good game. Good vision, and hits a very nice long ball when needed, but also knows when to keep it simple to build the possession up. Junior Flores didn't impact the game much, but his quality and confidence on the ball wasn't unnoticed. Omar Castro is a central midfielder who looks to have some potential in him. He might be one to watch for the future. I was hoping to see more of Wesley Wade, but I'm assuming he was still pretty jet lagged and tired from the Under 16 DA finals. He only got about 15 minutes. PA Classics center back Bryce Cregan wasn't tested much, but I like his tactical understanding and ease on the ball. Center back Tyler Turner communicates and organizes the back line pretty effectively, but his poise on the ball will need to improve.
Final thoughts regarding camp. I can go into a long list of assessments regarding camp but I will spare all of you the boredom. Instead I will attempt to assess what I perceived to be the core group going forward. After watching Wednesday and Saturdays games it became obvious to me that with the right management (Richie & Co.) this group can be VERY competitive on the world stage. First game: Galaxy should have won 5-2, next. Second game: was a tale of two halves. USA play was choppy and could not really get control of the ball in the first half. Midfield was occupied by Munoz, Heredia and Flores. The size and speed of the PDL team appeard to be overwhelming for the trio. The keeper made some nice saves to keep USA in it because of the lack of defensive commitment made by our central players. Down 2-0. Second half: Manager Richie adjusted his midfield and instantly the game changed. We controlled the ball, held possession and was able to pull off a lot of good combination plays that negated the obvious size and speed disadvantages. Richie replaced the midfield with Castro, Martin and Baird at the #10 position. Wesley played the rt forward with Ahinga playing in the center. Martin and Castro took the defensive challenge and played a very solid game those two players gave the USA a real chance to play instead of chasing like in the first half. Baird had some good moments would have like to seen more consistency but Wilmur and Richie have been playing him primarily as a winger so i would expect him to get better the more familiar he becomes with that position. Moore and company on the defense was solid just needed a little more help from the midfield in the first half. Rubin played very well and showed why he is one of the top players in Bradenton. As I mentioned in previous post, I tend to take the short trip to Bradenton and watch the boys train often. Based on that and what I seen in this camp here is my Bradenton opening day starting XI, subject to change once the semester begins. Moore, Jorge, Turner, Reqeullo Jr., Martin, Flores, Castro, Ahinga, Rubin, Baird and Louro (JT Marcinkowski had a good showing will it be enough to get invited .......Time will tell.) USA's #1 and #2 are very good.
Any other new names out of the 8 new people they brought in that you think have a chance being in Bradenton?
It is hard for me to truly evaluate the new faces based on two games playing with unfamiliar players. A more experienced eye may not have that problem but I will say I thought 2 or 3 kids made a strong case to be invited. Bradenton resides 32 players. Out of those players 19 were invited to Costa Rica and the recent camp (USA's # 1 and 2 was not invited to camp but I will include them as returning, 21 invited back). That leaves 11 spots up for grabs for the new players. Will Calix be invited back and occupy one of the 11 spots or will they start fresh? Will Robinson be invited back? These are some of the questions that will be answered soon. Richie will look at his depth chart and do his best to put a quality product on the field. I know I just kicked the can down the road but I would need to see more body of their work to be fair to the players.
