TAMPA - South Florida junior midfielder Erica Lewis was arrested Saturday on charges of obstructing or opposing an officer with violence, a third-degree felony, at Raymond James Stadium. Lewis, 20, and her brother Garry, 18, were arrested at USF's homecoming football game against Army. According to police records, Garry Lewis tried to sneak into USF's football game, resisted arrest and struck an officer in the face; and Erica Lewis interfered with police. Both were subdued with a Taser, according to police records. Lewis, USF's leading scorer, posted $4,500 bond and was released from jail Sunday. She did not play in USF's match Monday against Saint Louis and will not play this weekend at TCU and Houston. She was suspended indefinitely, USF assistant athletic director John Gerdes said. USF soccer coach Logan Fleck did not return calls seeking comment. Garry Lewis was arrested on two third-degree felony charges - obstructing an officer with violence and battery on an officer - and a misdemeanor trespassing charge. He was released on $4,500 bond.< PRESEASON HONORS: Three University of Florida men's basketball players were named to the coaches' preseason All-Southeastern Conference team.
You might want to change your name, it doeesn't look like there's too much future in being a fan of Garry Lewis. I assume UNC will be withdrawing their offer as well if the charges are proven true.
Considering it was his first post, the name was probably something of a joke or he's a friend of the players. Thought this was just a basketball problem for UNC recruiting.
