I will definetly buy these boots. I didn't like the old soleplate and the short studs. Now that it's like tiempos soleplate it's going to be a great boot with great price. Only 82£!

I hope soccercleats101 or some other site makes a review of it asap. :)

They remind me of the New Tiempos, nike is really doing wonders for Umbro. Im definatley grabbing a pair as soon as they go on sale on Soccer.com

BTW, does anyone know if it is full k-leather or if it is just the forefoot as in previous Specialis

Taking the old Italian made Speciali, and making it a Chinese knock off of the Legend is not doing "wonders" IMO. The pre-Nike take over version is one of the most respected boots in history, this is just a half a Nike, trading on the name of the older boot.

In terms of performance, the upper consists of a K-leather strike zone for supreme feel and touch on the ball, with microfiber through the heel to reduce weight and improved durability.

I just bought some Umbro Speciali Statements. White and Gold. I am hoping someone could give me personal feedback on the boots. I have not had Umbros since the stealth Mach Owens (it think thats what they were). I miss those boots.

I have these in the black colurway.
They are 1 of the most comfortable boots i have had in a long time. The leather softens really well & doesn't over stretch.
Stud config is good aswell, conical studs give good distribution of weight & have had no problems/issues wearing these on any surface.
I got a great deal on mine @ the start of the season & wish i'd bought a couple of pairs :(

Great boots imo. Comfortable, as was said above, and soft leather. Really not much more to say about a good heritage boot.

The white blue and black ones look very much like ctr360 ii's from one angle. Me like!

They reversed the leather! It is suppose to wrap through the inside of the foot with synthetic on the outside! You're doing it wrong Umbro! I'm just kidding, I have no idea what these boots are going to be like.

It looks like a bladed, control boot version of the Speciali 3. A boot which I loved. But it looks like they are going to Adidas route of integrating stuff.

I haven't worn Umbro boots for a long long time - One of my first pair of free boots were some red/white umbros which i got when i represented my county. Never really been a massive fan of Umbro boots but they are actually producing some nice looking boots at the moment. Love the new neon yellow/green colourway.

Those don't look too bad.....I wonder if Nike just sold that already produced lot of shoes to whoever bought them - the name escapes me now. If so I think they will be the last set of decent Umbro boots released before the inevitable fall to becoming a Walmart/Kmart/Modells type product and then vanishing into history.

The new Geometra and Speciali have been in development long before Iconix bought them - so, yeah - they'll have bought the 'floor plans' for all the boots that were in the design phase from Nike as part of the deal.

Like you say, Doc, we'll be seeing touches of Nike for this generation at least - but after that will Iconix be able to sustain the quality to avoid the bargain bin?

I know that this is a boot thread ... BUT does anyone know how the current umbro shirts fit compared to say Nike? I want to get the pink Rangers charity shirt but can't try it on as ive got to order it online and have no idea what size i will need.

    Thanks!

The only thing I have to compare is a umbro NY Cosmo jersey and its a slimmer fit than my nike jerseys. But with that being said I think the Cosmo jerseys were designed as more of a fashion piece than a real jersey considering they don't even have a team (it was when they were trying to be cool and retro). So it maybe simply the nike jerseys are looser because they were designed to be worn while actually playing?

I've always found Unbroken to run tighter for the most part
