I was quoting someone else talking about that being the reason for his troubles, and laughing about it. I used to have family in den Haag and in Groningen, and visit my firm's office in Amsterdam ... I know. The walkability of almost everywhere exceeds the walkability/bikeability of almost everywhere in Houston or LA.
Ah. Den Haag. The Chinese owner of their club ADO Den Haag is trying to sell the club to an American.
Reminds me of Donovan and his trouble at adjusting from sunny S Cali to Germany. Much easier from the upper Midwest I'd imagine.
Well, in this case probably they are, given the rather rollercoaster relation they had with the Chinese owner. It can't get worse is often a good starting point.

Was he ever training or in discussions with any MLS teams? Curious if LA or someone else looked at him and passed or if it is him avoiding MLS.
According to this, Wolfsburg has told Uly he's not needed and can look for a transfer but he will still participate in preseason starting July 1st.No Gold Cup is justified. Find your right spot and get a great preseason! https://t.co/2zfjeuQ5KM— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) June 18, 2021
He doesn't have to go to camp if he is picked to be in the GC. If I had to choose, I would go to GC and take my chances elsewhere.
Was just dropping by to drop this very article. Seems odd as he recently signed a 4 year extension... This tidbit: 'The attacker returned to his home country due to private circumstances, about which the then technical manager Gerry Hamstra explained more to Radio Camataru. "There is a whole story around it, unfortunately. But I want to leave it at that."'
I still think he'd be useful as a depth option in LA but we have brought in a couple of "starters" on the wings since he was rumored back in February. The Galaxy signed a young DP called Kevin Cabral who figures to be the every day left winger. They've also signed a French guy named Samuel Grandsir who has been getting lots of minutes at right wing. We have added flexibility as well with youngsters Cameron Dunbar at wing and Effrain Alvarez who can play out there. If Llanez is looking for guaranteed minutes I don't think that happens in here in MLS this season. So best of luck to him in Austria.
To Austria?: https://www.sportbuzzer.de/artikel/...urg-siersleben-nach-heidenheim-llanez-und-ho/ Two other players will probably make their way from Wolfsburg to St. Pölten in the next few days: Ulysses Llanez and Yun-sang Hong. US boy Llanez (20) was last loaned to SC Heerenveen, the South Korean young international Hong (19) has been part of the Wolfsburg U19 squad since last year.
