At first I thought "damn, Ulises left Tenerife to join a division three Spanish side?"

    Whoops.

They're probably about the same. I rank Colombia as the third best league in South America behind Brazil and Argentina. Just look how many players Colombia has exported in the past years. James, Jackson, Pabón, Quintero, Rentería. Matter of fact, the players that have lighten up Liga MX in the past years have been Colombian. Jackson, Quintero and Pabón have had outstanding performances with Santos and Monterrey, respectively.

In terms of depth, Mexico is better.
Colombia as a whole is producing great talent, but those guys are leaving Colombia early. They also dont have the money to attract higher profiled foreign players

In terms of league quality, there is a substantial gap after the Brazilian league

Pretty commendable on the guys part. Few mex players ever look to south america to play their club ball and much less that young.

I think so. He's pretty young and plays at a good league that is being looked at a lot by European teams.

Yeah he will be getting a ton of European interest if he lights it up, especially with the Colombian league being such an easy target for European scouts
