I have very high hopes for this kid. Out of all the youngsters coming up he's at the top of the pecking order.

Obviously i don't expect him to be on Chelseas first team next season, but i do think he will be there in a season or two. As long as he sticks it out and gets a fair shot where ever they choose to place him in the coming seasons.

Exactly and a loan to a championship team would be perfect to get used to English football

I agree too. just sayin' that training with the first team will benefit him and I know he's not ready to start for the first team, as Davila is still adapting to European football. Him being loan out to an English team will do wonders for him. I'm sure Chelsea wasn't satisfy with how Vitesse was bringing him out.

Davila being at the Olympics will also be important to he's progression, I sure hope Tena calls him, at least to make the bench and be a substitute for either Vela or Fabian. Having depth will only make us stronger in the late stages of that Tournament and give us a good chance to win a medal.

Davila already got a Euro work permit?

seems too soon. anyway, good for him. i don't know if he'll be on the 1st team next season, he'll most likely be loaned out again. but just to go back & train with the main team under the head coach will be excellent.

This. Chelsea should've loaned him back to Chivas. He could've played some league games and Libertadores.

If Chivas really wanted him, do you think Vergara would have had some deal negotiated? Besides if he had stayed there, would not it effect his European passport procedure?

At present, Davila might go to a Soccer seven tournament in 2 weeks time with Chelsea reserves to Hong-Kong

Chelsea is having a USA 2012 Tour this summer. These are the games.

    1. July 18, Seattle Sounders, CenturyLink Field, Seattle.
    2. July 22, PSG, Yankee Stadium, NY.
    3. July 25, MLS All-Stars, PPL Park, Philadelphia.
    4. July 28, AC Milan, Sun Life Stadium, Miami.

If Davila goes to London he will miss this tour.

I hope he at least gets a look with the U23 team. It'd be ironic if he gets left off the team because he wasn't available for all the training sessions with the rest of the guys who remained in the Mexican league.

with Vela being a bitch and not wanting to go, Davila would be an ideal replacement

Think Chelsea have a different plan for him next season, it's clear he's not likely to go back to Vitesse & he does not have work permit too.

He joins the likes of Nery for his effort in winning European competitions. Kudos to him. Well done!
