He's never going to call up a 24 year old journeyman who has never been good enough to be an undisputed starter in any team. This kid has balls for gutting it out and not giving up, but it's never going to happen. The quality simply isn't there. Compare his beginnings to Tecatito's for example. Tecatito has shown his quality since he first got to Twente. Davila has never even found a permanent home.
Hind sight is 20/20 it's easy to call someone a dumbass, but at least he had the guts to go to out and give it a try, hope more of our players had that in them. With so many prospects that fall to the shadows in liga mx wish we had more like him that would try thier luck abroad. If they fail, Mexican teams are always more than willing to get them back. It's easy as a fan to talk crap, but they are the ones rolling the dice.
In all fairness he is playing in a team filled with Portuguese youth players that have big futures Andre Horta is unreal I do however fully expect Davila to see more action
Chivas is utter garbage right now. They cant even win Copa MX Davila has a different mentality, yes he doesnt put numbers but he signed a 5 year contract with Chelsea in 2011 which will be over in 2016 - next summer Uli actually tried & has stayed in Europe for almost his whole contract so far. Unlike Pablo Barrera, Kikin, Efrain Juarez
Historically Setubal are a good team they are also on the outskirts of Lisbon Instead of saying the team is irrelevant maybe the player is irelevant Setubal has produced players like Paulo Ferreira, Ricardo Carvalho Varela etc
Lol Copa MX? Chelsea is shit and has ruined plenty of youngsters. Go ask a Dutchman what he thinks. Barrerra and Juarez also looked like shit after their British stints. Not a coincidence.
Chivas isnt anything to rave about right now. How would that team help out the young bloods like Raul Gudiño, Alan Pulido or even Ulises Davila?
Nice cheap shot you just mentioned cristiano in a thread about uli Davila And I am a Portuguese liga fan here to shed light on Mexicans in Portugal No go back to your cave and have conversations with your messi poster
Chivas for one would have given him consistency and playing time. They also have a good track record with their youth. Unlike english clubs who have ruined olenty of youngsters.
Says the moron who is claiming Chivas is better than British clubs at bringing along youngsters... Right.
