Anyways, the whole ecuadorian craze in Colo Colo has an explanation: Mirko Jozic, coach of Colo Colo in the '91 libertadores championship and now the sports director of the club, was Croatia's coach in World Cup 2002 and was impressed by the ecuadorians when Ecuador beat Croatia. Colo Colo is looking for 2 high level international players, and the rest will be chileans. Of the chileans, it seems "Kalule" Melendez is the most expensive one right now.

Re: ... Ulices de la Cruz to Colo-Colo? As far as I remember Tressor was with Caldas this year. I think he was with DIM last year. These players are sold cuz they're good enough to play elsewhere, and in turn, that provides major resources (financially) for DIM.
