Also regarding ULHOWA, in today's Ft Worth Star Telegram Greg Elliot is quoted as saying it will NOT be a venue for the 2005 CONCACAF Gold Cup. Too bad, I was really hoping for some exciting international soccer at our new stadium.

You can't see anything from the road. I ate lunch at the Subway across the street of the stadium construction yesterday.

I was going to do that after the United watching party at Mr&MrsTA's house but there was too much mud. If there is a week where there isn't any rain, I am going to go back out there and walk up to the stadium. Good news is that they have put up the retaining walls and started plumbing for the top part of the stadium.

These were before the latest 3-4" of rain this week.

On a side note the plans now include an ark dock behind the stage.

I hate the stage, its just so out of place, oh look at this beautiful soccer stadium......and there's a random stage. Here's to the future when we can get enough sellouts that they rip down the stage for more seats.

We're getting a stage in Chicago too.

I'm hoping they are going to use the stage for fans during soccer games and that it will turn out pretty cool.

Doubt it....all it takes is one stupid fan falling off that stage and hurting himself and the lawyers will be foaming at the mouth to get a piece of Anshultz's fortune.

Safety is an easy fix with railings that are removable for concert events.

The bigger issue in my mind is whether that space would be better geared towards drinking, vips, or family entertainment.

Well, I don't know about the firehouse, but ULHOWA is going to have VIP areas at the corners of the stadium.

Our full design is going to be unveiled Nov 30th. Not sure yet. But we've been told there is a club section and a year round supporters pub in our design.

ULHOWA will have those as well. We got to see conceptual pictures of the pub at the Town Hall Meeting a few weeks ago. It was NICE!! Only those with the most expensive group of season tickets will have access to it on gamedays, but for watching parties and other club events it will be open to all.
