If you don’t want to be condescended at, then stop digging a hole over things you clearly have no idea about.. when I pushed back on your position, that should have been your opportunity to fire up the google machine and looked into the state of the Chinese financial system. Instead you tripled down and came out looking like an idiot.

No that's exactly what I did to confirm I was correct. I also have experience of working in China, with the state owned banks, for Reuters.

If the banks had been told to stop processing Russian payments by the Communist Party they would have stopped processing them immediately.

They didn't. The number of payments being rejected rapidly but steadily. By July about 80% of payments were rejected. Today it's almost all of them.

A small number of Chinese financial institutions are accepting Russian payments but they only represent about 2% of the industry.

Obviously this is not being done in opposition to government policy.

I have a very low low opinion of my own country but not even in mine what people like Trump and many other western politicians get away with is not be possible.

Trump would have been in jail by now. Trying to hijack the election.. shot in the face would have been on the table

Anyway the reason why I came here: maybe by the end of the month Ukraine will receive a Patriot battery from Romania. By receive I mean actually in Ukraine

Russia has been flying FPV drones into Kherson and targeting civilian vehicles and individuals.

Was this part of the drone attack?

I think the point of the mass drone attack a couple of nights ago was to exhaust anti- aircraft supplies.

No. The drone attack was targeting Russian energy infrastructure.

Something strange is going on in Tromsø, Norway. A Russian ship carrying 20,000 tons of ammonium nitrate has declared an emergency with no explanation and is now docked at the town. Right next to the regional hospital. The police have demanded it be moved, but it is still there two days later. The Norwegian navy is now involved.

The Beirut explosion was 2,700 tons of ammonium nitrate.

    I hope so.

In any case, I have a new first chapter for my WW III novel.

  18. Are you sure? I can't find anything about it.
    Do you have a link?

  20. Mmm, the source is a blogger, who's the only one mentioning it and a site I dn't trust.
I traced the socalled nitrate bomb to be here:

Edit: I got suspicious about it, as I couldnot find any Norwegian source affirming it.

I get the skepticism, but I don't think I would unnecessarily warn the public about it. It might cause more problems than it solved.

A ship can't be in two places. Between Tromsø and the spot I just posted, where it is now is this huge distance: upload_2024-9-4_23-3-36.png

  24. Unless Russians invented warp drive ship engines.
