They had threatened to deploy troops in Cuba and elsewhere in Latin America prior to the invasion in response to Ukraine potentially joining NATO. Now, Cuban president is going there - We'll have to see what's being discussed .
That's why I don't support the invasion or any unjustified invasions/pre-emptive operations for that matter. However, the NATO excuse was more pretext than paranoia, this was obviously planned with ulterior motives and end game
I'm not sure you've actually read the article? This is largely an economic trip by Cuba's president.. The countries he is visiting Cuba's closest allies (Algeria, Russia, China) and Turkey, which is looking to expand its international presence. It's not a sign of an increasingly multi-polarity when a country that already outside the US's sphere of influence visits their own sphere of influence...
I like how some pick and choose when to trust what's to be taken at face value or not. You really believe they aren't going to talk about that possibility, in this climate?
I never expected the Article 5. There are important and non-important NATO countries. We will never know the truth about this incident: origins.
No.. I'm saying that this is not the evidence you think it is. A better example would be Saudi Arabia's interest in joining BRICS. Of course, BRICS isn't necessarily a good example either. For the most part, the countries don't like each other and, in a lot of cases, are working against each others interests in an attempt to put themselves on top of the pile.
I mean, Bush did openly support Ukraine joining NATO no ? You then add the 2014 revolution where he may think that the US had a hand it (not absurd given US history of meddling / supporting the overthrowing of foreign Gov. directly or indirectly) and it's not really an outlandish paranoia. Not that Ukraine should be any of his business.

Russia blows up their own decoy radar installation with a Lancet drone and release to show how awesome they are. After seeing the video posted by @UAWeapons of a 🇷🇺 Lancet hitting a 5N63S radar, I figured that this deserved some more attention. Hard to answer the decoy question on the spot, but this is definitely a 🇷🇺 5N63S radar struck by a 🇷🇺 Lancet loitering drone.A short 🧵1/ pic.twitter.com/9atxSCw2Ed— JB Schneider (@JohnB_Schneider) November 18, 2022
Colonel Vadim Boyko, involved closely in Vladimir Putin’s mobilisation campaign of reservists for the Ukraine War, has been found dead in his office under mysterious circumstances. At the crime scene, investigators found five case shellings and four pistols. Initially, authorities believed this was a case of suicide, then a murder probe was opened, only to revert to suicide as the likely cause of death five days later. However, it has reportedly put into question how a man could commit suicide by firing five shots to his chest!
