http://www.city-journal.org/html/eon_2_4_03td.html UK Profs Nix Israel Their sympathy for Arabs is one more example of compassion as contempt. | 4 February 2003 There’s nothing British academics like more than a good academic boycott. It makes them feel they are at the center of things, important cogs in the motor of history—and virtuous into the bargain: for virtue these days is more a matter of making the right gestures and expressing the “right” opinions than of conforming one’s behavior to inconvenient ethical standards. It allows one to be a libertine on a Neronian scale and yet detect the odor of sanctity emanating powerfully from oneself. The Guardian reported several weeks ago that the British academic boycott of Israel is gathering steam.
This academic boycott is plain stupid. I don't know how much it is correct to define it as antisemitism though. I guess they think it's a valid way to urge israel to solve the conflict. It's really weird this journalist hasn't been able to imagine this answer to his question... It's not a crusade to democratize Israel. The idea suggested by this article that all the british academics are antisemites and/or marxists is stupid too.

But the main focus on this article is how they see the middle east context!! They look at Syria and they see how syria is a regime, and they say "There, There, you don't know to well" Where Israel is just like the UK or France or Italy and they have a certain role!! So if your one of us, then you should be one of us, but if your not acting like one of us, then forget it!!!!!
I didn't know! Im sorry! Plus....... Do you know how to fix my counter!!! its always on 34.. i posted a million posts
Not really! It comparing Israel to Europe and the Arab world to, you make a mistake, you get up and try again, sort of thing!
