Why exactly does this thread exist? Oh, you're trying to start a flame war. That's pretty original, I bet you're proud of yourself for coming up with such a novel idea.

    1 - 2 - 3 - 4 let's have a flame war.
So a 10 year old is better than Adu, who cares. The 10 year old doesn't speak English and hasn't been on Letterman, CNN, etc.

I'm not saying so. I doubt the 10 year old is better than me. I also think Adu is overhyped.

I have to say I think this is now the dumbest thread ever that even tangentially references Freddy Adu.

That is quite a feat. Bravo.

And I am supposed to be insulted by someone who ardently supports the USMNT and SJ Earthquakes?

    I think not. Bravo.

    Cool! Bring on the competition...

It's all a big circle jerk anyway (Adu, etc.).

I wish this place could be declared a "no-trolling" zone.

Are we supposed to take a Boca "fan" who lives in Jersey seriously?

    I think not.

I didn't ask you too, yet all of you are so sensitive when your Adu is criticized in the slightest way. Shows how dependent the US supporters are on Adu when a ten year old is seen as threatening.

    Dignifiying a response...

Unless this kid wins a US immigration lottery in the next couple of years I'm not really sure what your point is or if you have any at all. Adu is certainly one of the top young players in the world given his performance at the U-17 and U-20 World Cups. He's undoubtably the best young American player by leaps and bounds. There's a 10 year old out there who teams think could be the next Maradona. That's not really all that unique. Freddy on the other hand is because he's American.

For now, the only competition Freddy Adu has will be in MLS or at whatever level of US National teams he's playing for.

What are you talking about? I said nothing of Adu.

I'm usually very tolerant on assorted blather around here, but tonight I prefer to be intolerant.

This thread has nothing to do with US Soccer. Closed.
